The Curt Gooseneck Hitch, part # C607-661, you referenced is designed to fit your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 with a 6 foot bed.
The included installation instructions have detailed steps to ensure the hitch is located in the correct location. Here is the first step in the installations instructions for the subkit included with the hitch:
Mark the location for the hole in the truck bed. Measure from the tailgate end of the truck bed, by hooking a tape measure over the rear of the truck box and marking the correct location. (NOTE: DO NOT MEASURE FROM EDGE OF THE TAILGATE) Next, mark the center between the wheel wells. This marks the center point for the drill hole. This hole location is critical for the correct installation of this hitch. Measure, mark, and saw carefully. For a short bed installation the instructions say the distance should be 42-1/2 inches.
