• 1991 Yakima RocketBox Replacement Mounting Hardware Compatible with Aero Bars
  Your old Yakima RocketBox has mounting holes that are 4-1/2 inches on center, so there isn't a direct fit we carry. Instead I recommend using the Replacement Hardware Kit for Searsbox Cargo Box # TH05603. This will fit your Malone Aero bars like # MPG215 on your 2015 Toyota RAV4 as well as the factory bars on your 2008 Honda Pilot. I recommend using the gasket maker # LT37467 to seal the extra holes in your box to prevent water entry at the unused locations.

  Thank you so much for the info and pictures! The correct replacement key for your lock for is part # THKEYN2982 and the correct replacement mounting hardware is part # TH05603. The mounting hardware does look a little different than the original mounting hardware that came with the box but this is the only kit available that matches up with the mounting holes and doesn't require you to modify your cargo box. • Can Yakima RocketBox Mount to 2016 Subaru Crosstrek With Factory Crossbars
  There is not a conversion kit available, but I reached out to Yakima in regards to attempting to mount this RocketBox, and they told me the following: "That is an older box but their (2016 Subaru Crosstrek) can carry it if the mounting holes are 4" apart. Have them measure the distance between the holes where the mounting hardware goes." What this means is that if your '16 Crosstrek has crossbars that are less than 4", which it should, then you should be able to use use this cargo box.

While it certainly is not going to be possible to verify a fitment of a cargo box that old, this hardware kit will still be usable, though you may need to drill new holes in the underside of the box to make sure the U-bolts fit through. You would then be able to use a sealant for the unused holes.

  I called my representative for Thule and they informed me that there are 3 different models of the Thule Mountaineer Cargo Carrier and you will need the Replacement Mounting Hardware for SportRack and Thule Cargo Boxes part # TH05603 for a U-bolt with 4 inch on center width. According to our record, the Replacement QM3 part # TH04997 will not fit this carrier with a bolt spacing of 3-15/16".

There really isn't any specific replacement hardware for your older roof box with 2 inch by 2 inch u-bolts, but these are most likely the best option for your 2 inch by 2 inch desired fit to span an extra hole. You can drill holes if needed and fill any extra holes with # LT37467 to keep the box watertight.
