So far, we like it. Replaced a GE OE installed AC on our 2025 Winnebago EKKO. No more cold then stuffy cycles. Nice to have a constant temperature and it’s noticeably quieter than the GE.

by:

I love it! Would buy again

by:

Ashley did a great job on my order, and I would call her again to place another order if need be.

by:

Replaced a Donetic and was best thing I could have done. Built in soft start, draws less amps, way quieter, and puts out more BTUs. Install was straight forward other than what I needed to do to make furnace work separately. Overall I recommend and easy install by myself. Hardest thing is getting unit on top.

by:

I love how quiet it is that is the main reason i purchased it. I am wondering how it will keep up once it is at the temperature and able to maintain. It was in the highh 80’s yesterday and it seemed it couldn’t get lower than 72 which is great. So far i am happy. Extremely easy to install they have that nailed down great. The quality is great.

by:

Very easy to install by self and once I was aware on how the system was designed to work the AC works wonderful. The staff of etrailer was very helpful and patient. Special shout out to Rochell, Thank You

I replaced a failing Domestic Breeze unit in 2015 Grand Design 375RE that even when working could not keep our camper cool. Because our camper had dual Domestics I needed to also keep the control box from the Domestic unit. I just mounted it on the top side of the Furrion mounting plate and connected the power for the Furrion unit into that control unit. This allowed the Micro-Air wall unit to continue to function for the front domestic unit and also the heater, just not the new Furrion unit. As for the Furrion unit, it's wonderfully! Before when it was very hot outside both Dometic units ran all time, now the front only runs occasionally and we can keep the rv cool no matter what the outside temperature is. This unit is also very quiet compared to the Domestic unit. So far seems to be a great unit!

I purchased this ac to go on a 2021 mallard m33. The trailer is 38ft long with 3 slides. I did a lot of research before ordering. This is absolutely a great AC but it does a have a couple issues. First is the vibration from the compressor is just insane on how loud it is i thought my first one was broken then the second one did the same I mean the vibration will drive you crazy when the compressor is on high. Had to do a lot of playing around to solve this issue the fix was more rubber under the AC and to LOOSEN the 3 bolts holding the compressor down it made about 90% of the vibration go away. Second issue is the temp sensor is in the intake side and will need be relocated to get accurate reading. The fan does always run but you can't really notice it when it's on low. Great unit after you fix a couple things it's really quite so you can enjoy your RV. If you have a large rv and this is your only AC it will not keep up with the summer heat of 100 degrees plus. If it's 100 degrees out side it will maintain about 80 in the camper with just one unit if i kick the second one on I can bring the temp down to 76 inside witch is really good. Could be happier ordering from etrailer. I do think furrion could have done better with the compressor vibration if so this really would have been an absolute game changer to all rv's and solved the biggest issue that is these noise AC that come with them.

Arrived Fast and On time. I installed this AC the next day. It took me 4 hours by my self and with no experience. The instructions were good enough and acronyms and aberavadtions weren't too hard to figure out. The unit is close to 80 lbs. So having help is advised or you got to be ingenious when it comes to getting this on the roof. It wants 40 inch pounds of toque on the retaining bolts. I thought is was going to strip the hole out, but it didin’t to my suprise. Now I just need to test it this summer in the hot Texas heat. stay tunned

I just recently purchased the Furrion Chill Cube to add as a 2nd AC unit to my camper. I was able to utilize the chat feature on etrailer to ask a few questions. Liz at etrailer was a huge help with getting the information I needed. She even sent me follow up emails with new information she was able to obtain direct from Furrion. I would recommend etrailer to anyone, you can practically buy anything you would need for your camper. The installation was fairly simple as long as you have a helper to lift the unit on top of your camper. Thank you Liz for all your help.

@VictoriaH Liz was great! I’m hoping they come out with the heat pump version soon so I can replace my older Coleman Mach 15 unit also. Would love to have two 18,000 BTU units!

I'm very impressed with the Chill Cube! Super quiet(in ducted mode) and so far it seems to be much more energy efficient. The unit was packaged well and arrived very quickly. The only negative I could point out is the included installation manual. It was vague and missing vital information (poorly translated perhaps?). The actual install is not bad at all though, it only took a couple hours in total. We are now considering replacing our second unit with another Chill Cube.

When it comes to the install, would you have any advice or tips on how to do it or what worked for you? Glad it's working well otherwise! Stay cool!

Austin was super helpful over the phone when I was interested in purchasing a new AC for my trailer. He answered all of my questions assuring me that I was making a good and the correct purchase. The icing on the cake was that the shipping was fast and the AC arrived ahead of schedule!

by:

Unit came a month before it was scheduled which was great. The installation was easy given the fact the old Duo-Therm was 20+ years old. The only issue was the fact the furnace was run through the old AC and controlled by a Duo-Therm thermostat. The solution was to reuse the old circuit board. The unit is quiet and I like the fact that distribution box will allow maximum air flow on really hot days if needed. Height of the unit could be an issue in some installations. The shipping box was a little worse for ware but the unit was OK.

  • What do I Need to Change Out All 3 AC Units on My 2016 Dutchmen to the Furrion Chill 18K Ducted?
Hello Nathan , Looking to switch to the Furrion 18K, great choice! This year, new regulations were introduced for RV air conditioners, requiring a change from R-410A to R-32 refrigerant. This change helps reduce environmental impact and improves efficiency, a win for everyone! Since all AC units have been updated, you'll need a complete new setup in order for the parts to work. To make the switch, you'll want to order (3) of the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution...

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube Operate With RV Furnace
Hello Sam; that is a great question! I reached out to Furrion and you will be able to use the Furrion Chill Cube # FR69TD (white) or # FR49TD (black) with your furnace. However, the remote is not capable of operating the furnace at this time. This system also includes a wall mounted thermostat that will control your furnace like a standard setup. The IR remote is only capable of sending commands to the AC unit but, it sounds like Furrion is working on a way to be able to control both via...

  • Can I Swap My Coleman Mach 10 for the Furrion Chill Cube RV 18,000 Btu?
Hello P.S. I'm glad you reached out because this is a great question! This year, new regulations changed the refrigerants used in RV air conditioners, switching from R-410A to R-32. This is a win all around as it is better for the environment and more efficient. However, the downside is that parts are not interchangeable. Even if they physically line up, they won’t work together. Additionally, all new R-32 AC units require a different setup to prevent sparking, which could pose a fire...

Hey Jon; I was actually just talking to Furrion about heat options for the Chill Cube yesterday (1/21/2025). At this time, the only way to have heat with this unit is through a furnace on a ducted setup. The Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat # FR49TD (black) and # FR69TD (white) come with a wall mounted thermostat capable of running a furnace. However, adding a furnace is pricey and since you asked about a heat strip I'm guessing you don't have one already. You...

  • Can Furrion Chill Cube Replace Dometic Penguin II RV AC Units and Control Furnace
Hey Spencer, you can replacement your Dometic Penguin II AC Units with the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR99TD but these would both be considered single zone units that wouldn't be able to connect to a single thermostat. With that said the included thermostat is compatible with furnaces so you would be able to control your furnace from the Chill Cube thermostat. One of the biggest advantages of the switch is that Furrion has upgraded their refrigerant from R410A to the more eco-friendly R32 this year.
