Can I Install a Ductless Furrion Chill Cube in a Ducted Setup?

Question:

If I buy a Furrion Chill Cube non-ducted unit, can I replace my ducted unit with it? Would I need to block the ducted vents?

You sure can, Evan. The Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box - Ductless item # FR27TD will fit inside the same 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" cutout that the ducted Furrion item # FR99TD fits.

The systems are set up entirely different so you shouldn't be blowing air into the vents anyways but it wouldn't hurt to put some foam blocks in there.

We also have the Ductless Furrion Chill Cube available in White item # FR59TD.

Why are you wanting to switch to a ductless setup?

@Evan Makes sense. It's a tough time of year to find an AC system I will tell you that. Lots of peoples are going out plus there's been regulation changes with the coolant and all of the new R32 units aren't backwards compatible component wise.

@JerredH I'm not in a big hurry, I just know that mine are 8 years old and won't last forever. Being proactive for a change.

@Evan You are a rare breed then when it comes to replacing an AC unit. The inventories are a bit low right now due to all of the reactive people.
