Do Furrion Chill Cube AC Units Have a Soft Start Built In?

Hey Don, thanks for reaching out!

The Furrion Chill Cube # FR99TD does have provisions built in to lower the amount of power required to start the unit up. I don't think Furrion officially calls it a soft start (there's debate about that online), but it has variable speed output that keeps it from really ramping up the power on startup.

Do you have one already, or are you looking to add one to your camper?

@DonS Sweet! The AC unit referenced above is for a trailer that has a ducted system, similar to what you would see in a house with vent registers and all that. If you don't have ductwork in your camper, then you'll want the Chill Cube Kit # FR39TD instead because it comes with the plenum that blows the air into your camper. This kit also comes with a remote to control the thermostat, so you don't have to reach up to make adjustments to the unit - just point and click!
