Question:
I have a Coleman Mach 10 Model45204-6792 and would like to replace it with this unit. Mine is a ‘top down” ducted install. Is the Furrion setup to bolt down from the top of the rv and is the bolt pattern the same as the Coleman unit?

Hello P.S.
I'm glad you reached out because this is a great question! This year, new regulations changed the refrigerants used in RV air conditioners, switching from R-410A to R-32. This is a win all around as it is better for the environment and more efficient.
However, the downside is that parts are not interchangeable. Even if they physically line up, they won’t work together. Additionally, all new R-32 AC units require a different setup to prevent sparking, which could pose a fire risk.
To swap your system with a ducted setup, I recommend the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box - Ducted - 18,000 BTU - White # FR99TD. It includes the AC unit, a new air distribution box, a remote (which also serves as the thermostat), and all the necessary hardware for installation.
This unit is so much quieter than all the others, definitely worth the swap. What do you think about the set-up?

Hi Kate, I am considering replacing my dometic AC unit with the Chill cube. I saw there is a chill cube conversion kit to keep the dometic distribution box. But all the Q&A here says that you have to do a complete replacement. Is the conversion kit new? Thanks, Jared

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately my 5th wheel is only ducting and does not have an air distribution assembly on the interior of the rv. Solid ceilings with dual return air vents on the edges of the ceiling for each ac unit similar to motorhome ducting.
