Anyone who’s pulled a big trailer knows how unnerving it can be when sway starts up behind you. The TruTrack fights sway before it even begins with built-in, active sway control built into the hitch head. Spring-loaded ball bearings ride in detents that apply constant pressure to keep your trailer centered, and steel-on-steel friction adds resistance when sudden crosswinds or curves try to push it off-line. The result is a calm, confident tow—no extra sway bars or add-on parts needed.

When you hitch up a heavy trailer, all that tongue weight can make the rear of your tow vehicle sag and the front lift, which hurts steering and braking. The TruTrack’s trunnion spring bars use leverage to spread that 1,000 – 1,500 lb tongue weight evenly across all axles, so both the trailer and tow vehicle ride level. With up to 15,000 lbs maximum gross towing weight, the system keeps things balanced for safer, more controlled handling mile after mile.
This system is made to work hard. The forged-steel spring bars are stronger and more impact-resistant than typical cast bars, and the powder-coat finish stands up to corrosion. Every connection point uses snap pins for secure attachment, and grease zerks in the trunnions make maintenance simple. It’s a solid, long-lasting setup that serious haulers appreciate.
Getting the right tilt and tension doesn’t have to mean stacking washers or drilling into your frame. The adjustable head lets you fine-tune the hitch angle quickly, and the clamp-on sway control brackets mount directly to trailer frames up to 6" tall x 4" wide. Hooking up is straightforward too—just lift each 35" x 1-1/4" spring bar onto the L-brackets with the snap-up lever, secure with the included L-pins, and you’re ready to roll.

Backing into a campsite or threading through a gas station is no problem with the TruTrack. The rigid trunnion-bar design and integrated sway control let you reverse or make tight turns without disconnecting anything. With everything working together—the 2-5/16" torqued chrome hitch ball, adjustable 2" shank (5-1/2" rise, 1/2" drop), and complete hardware—the hitch is ready for long trips and heavy use without extra hassle.

Heavy duty and very well made!! I pull a 33ft. T/T with 2 slides, Curt Tru Track system works very well. Compared to similar style weight distribution systems, Curt is definitely a better value!!

Its been a year since ordering Curt Tru Track W.D.S. I can say well worth the money, works well! Since then I we upgraded our TT in length, 3 slides, and 1500lbs heavier. CURT wd works flawless!
There is some sway that we were not anticipating, but overall we love this hitch. The setup, if done by yourself, will take time. (Ours is just a little off because we physically couldn’t fit another washer to make it flat with our tall truck. The directions are easy to follow though.). Be warned that this hitch is a haus. It is very heavy, so if you have trouble lifting, you may need to phone a friend. Our last hitch lasted us 22 years (the last few were a little [iffy]), we are hoping we get the same longevity with this one. Year 1 down and it’s going strong!
I purchased this WDH to pull a 29-foot travel trailer behind my F-150. Other than the fact that the hitch head is heavy, hitching and unhitching are simple and the hitch has worked as expected.

Ive had the Curt TruTrack for about two years now. No complaints. About a month ago I did some touch up painting of the hitch components. In the process, i laid the clips that hold the bars on the bumper of the truck and drove off, losing the clips. I wasnt able to use the bars taking the trailer back to the storage shed. Boy what a difference. Luckily it was only seven miles.

I the hitch looks well built. I think I was sent an older model of this hitch because it came with the spacers instead of the Cam for adjusting. I wish I would have gotten the one with the CAM to adjust it. It took me a while to figure out how to put it together because of the spacer and the wording on the instructions. I do like the hitch but if I ordered it again I would request that I get the model with the cam for adjusting.
Having never used a weight displacement hitch before. This made a huge difference in towing a large trailer. I will never tow without one again. This unit is well made. The instructions are straight forward. Installation is as the instructions show. I highly recommend this unit. Price was affordable, and shipping was fast.

This is a very well built hitch system. I would highly reccommend it to anyone towing a trailer.
What a great purchase, easy to install and after an adjustment the 7800 lb dry weight, 35 foot camper tows like a dream. Instructions were clear and simple even for a camper towing newbie. This unit was picked due to the possibility of getting a heavier camper later and not wanting to buy another hitch. Service from etrailer was outstanding and the price was the cheapest I found.

Still happy with this hitch. Bought a bigger truck so had to purchase a longer shank but couldn’t be happier with the product.
I waited over a year to make sure I did all I could do. It all started with bending my brackets on the first trip. I rebuilt them to my liking, a little home welding, but still not happy as I have not leveled my tow vehicle. I weighed my hitch loaded at 1400 lbs, and with all the adjustment this hitch has, I can't get a level ride. I even bought the drop shank ($xxx), and my camper is stightly nose down, hitch adjusted to the max, I still feel like my hitch is not handling the load. I can not recommend this hitch for anything over 1000 lbs tongue weight.

In the description this product notes that it is not for huge s as the max is only a half inch. If you are not level, this can cause other problems like the bending of the brackets. I would recommend item # EQ64FR. It is the right weight you need and it has a max of 3 inches. It includes everything you need besides item # EQ70-00-4800 which is recommended for hitch ball installation. It has a lifetime warranty as well.

The hitch arrived in record time. Haven't installed it yet but if I have any issues, I will update my reveiw.
It is what i needed. Appears to be good quality. I like the zert fittings so I can grease it. I won't haul with it until next week. I expect good things
It’s just what I was looking for! Great quality.
It’s been a great hitch for me pulling my Forrest River Classic 30’. Great all the way ariubdy!
System didn’t work. Do not use this for ATC trailers. Sway was still there. No amount of loading fixed issue. Couldn’t return item due to use. Bought a 3P.
We received our delivery yesterday and was surprised at the packaging it came in. We have yet to open it to see if any parts fell out of the box. Packaging definitely needs to be reinforced with thicker cardboard.

Have you had a chance to check out the condition of the contents?
I needed a weight distribution system and quickly realized that Curt was the best around. You get what you pay for so why not get the best!? Very simple to install and with the correct routine maintenance this will last forever, Shipping was fast and box was In good shape when it arrived.
Made all the difference in the world. Used the Curt TruTrack Distribution w/sway control for the first time this last weekend and it's all that it was said to be. Very nice ride with no sway!! I am very satisfied!! The poackaging of the product was all intact and well packaged and was delivered in 3 days!!
Excellent product, was as described and not to difficult to install. Only needed to adjust brackets one to level unit out. Would recommend this product to anyone who needs a weight distribution hitch.
Will be using this on my 2014 extended cad f250, to pull my 36 ft keystone Laredo rv.
Many who wander, are not lost!
The curt anti sway hitch performs better than anything I’ve ever used.
You never see the trailer behind you.
The weight dist is awesome.
We have f350 /lance truck camper and 26 ft car trailer
In tow.
I can’t picture anything working better.
This product made a huge difference when pulling my camper with the additional 1000# of tongue weight when my ATV is loaded. I am pulling a rough total of 4700# with my expedition and pulls very well. I had to make quick change on the interstate at 75mph, the camper wanted to sway but was quickly brought straight behind the vehicle in seconds. What could of been a disaster, with the sway control made everything safe. Install is technical, I just had the RV company install when I was picking up my camper, short on time and Best $200 ever spent. Went with the 1500# tongue weight, since I do have about 1400+ when fully loaded. With setup done correctly, weight is distributed evenly. About a 1/4" difference between front and rear of vehicle.
The maiden voyage for both the Curt Tru Track hitch and the Momentum 28G trailer was a 350 mile trip on both interstate and two lane state highway to Oregons Wallowa Lake. The hitch performed as advertised. I highly recommend. I also recommend watching the video on installation that etrailer supplies. Much better than the written instructions
Very disappointed with this product. While it does work well for it's intended use, the product longevity, Lifetime Warranty and support from Curt was quite the let down. I purchased this unit in Sept 2021 and have used it for ~35-40 towing days (10 trips). During a routine pre-use inspection/grease application, I noticed that one of the Cam Blocks was damaged. Upon disassembly, the Cam Block was cracked in half and the Socket also had abnormal wear (one side only). Curt denied the warranty claim stating lack of lubrication (which is ironic as I caught the issue while lubricating). They stated that the signs of corrosion show lack of greasing. I'm not sure how you are supposed to stop corrosion when towing in the rain, especially when the paint flakes off after a few uses.
Unfortunately Curt will not sell just the Socket and Cam Plate and requires spending $300+ on a replacement head.
While this unit does work well, it does not hold up over time and Curt will not stand behind their product.
I've used similar products in the past for rv towing, and this is the first time I needed a product for a work related vehicle. This product is awesome! Takes all the undesirable driving artifacts out of the way. No more bucking, rolling, bouncing, just a nice sway-free towing experience. Very straight forward to configure, install & use. I only wish I could have ordered with a 2" hitch ball instead of 2 5/16". My dump trailer uses a bulldog 2" cast iron hitch. I had to buy a 2" ball & have a trucking company rattle gun the 2 5/16" one off & put my 2" ball on the new head. Other than that little knuckle drill everything went like clockwork. Would definitely recommend.
Assembly was pretty straightforward. I haven’t had the chance to tow with it yet.
Good trailer hitch. I was using the basic chain weight distributing hitch with added sway control. This is much better.

Yes good hitch. Works good no problems with it.
Have not tested it yet on my new trailer. I have electricly checked it and it's great.
