All parts were perfect fit. Quality hardware and performance.

by:

I bought the spring kit to put on my home built trailer that I put my old heavy slide-in camper on. It more than met my expectations. There was no sway at 75mph or on the 5 mile trail back to camp.

by:

I think these Trailer spring hangers are working out very well. Can’t wait to test it out on the road. I’m building a 7000 lbs GVWR trailer to mount a generator on.

by:

It was easy to install, and had all the parts I needed.
The trailer rolls down the road nice.
This helped me get a barn find trailer back on the road.

by:

This worked perfectly to refurbish my 1986 Superior trailer.

by:

We summer at a remote cabin in the Gila Nat'l Forest above Silver City NM. The last 5 miles to the cabin is extremely rough and puts a lot of wear and tear on both my truck and my trailer that we use to transport water, food, building materials and supplies to the cabin on a twice a month schedule. I have had suspension springs break, blown tires and damaged coupler. I ordered this kit to replace the entire hanger assembly because of wear and tear, cracks and loose fittings. I had to re-enforce the frame and weld up some cracks and wear points. The kit was great and worked perfect. The trailer is now like new and will serve me for years to come.

by:

Everything I ordered was top quality and fit perfectly.I also ordered some spares. I will most definitely be back in the future! Thanks again!!

by:

The Trailer Hanger Kit shipped fast and was as described. Fit & finish were excellent. Great product. Made my 25 year old trailer like new again!

Heavy duty parts. Still going strong! Well made suspension parts. Shipped quickly. Perfect fit.

I didn’t receive all parts on original shipment. Box was partly open due to the box wasn’t big enough and that’s why it bust. After Tralee already tore part when found. I called to get replacement parts. That went well until I received what I was originally missing, and y’all sent me galvanized straps and I said to hell with it. Not going to keep waiting. I’ll paint over them. Not sure why my new order and the replacement straps couldn’t have been shipped together. But oh well I’ll wait several more days for part that was in stock in the same building probably to shopped late. Better luck next time

Trailer hangers and all related hardware showed up in about a week in one small box, were installed professionally, and a perfect fit. Thank you.

by:

I received my order very fast. The quality is excellent and everything that I expected. What is also impressive is that if you have questions about setting up your axle kit, etrailer has printable instructions right on their website that will make installation simple.
I have built several trailers over the years and appreciate the quality and service provided by etrailer. I highly recommend this company and their products.

by:

I'm building a trailer for a gutter machine from scratch. And the parts that I got from e-trailer are exactly what I needed, and on top of that they got to my house 3 days earlier than they were suppose to. I know where to order again if I need some more parts in near future ;) thank you guys

by:

I had a trailer with a suspension that needed new bushing and rocker arm. I looked on line and decided on the parts I needed. I called my order in on Sunday evening and explained I needed the parts ASAP.
The parts were sent to UPS Sunday evening. I received the parts about 2:00 Wednesday. I have already installed the parts. The suspension is back like new now.

by:

My flatbed trailer is a 1998 and the suspension and wheels were suffering from Pa's use of salt brine on the roads. The wheels had holes rusted through them! Decided it was time to repair the trailer. Got new wheels and suspension parts from E-trailer. Got my parts fast at a good price and well on my way to having a reliable trailer again. Great service and will do business again!

  • Trailer Suspension Hanger Kit for Two 2-3/8 Inch Axles and 25-1/4 Inch Leaf Springs
A suspension hanger kit won't have anything to do with the space between the tires and the trailer frame but can affect the front to back space between the tires. I recommend kit # APT5. On it the center to center distance between axles is 33-1/2 inches (suggested) and since your tire size of 255/75-15 has an overall diameter of 28.6 inches then there will be plenty of space. I have included a link to our help article on double-eye spring suspension for you.

  • Axle to Frame Height Difference Between Tandem Axle Hanger Kits # APT3 and # APT5
We don't have CAD drawings we can give out for our hanger kits but I can help give you info to help you determine what the height of your axles relative to your trailer frame would be with each kit. With the part # APT5 it will give you approximately 4-1/2 inch to 5 inch of clearance and the part # APT3 will give you approximately 3-1/2 inch to 3-3/4 inch.

  • How to Determine Axle Position when Building a Trailer
There is an easy way to determine axle placement on a trailer. Take a look at the picture I have included. Just plug in the numbers and complete the formula to determine the axle placement. The other factor that is going to come into play is the springs that you are going to use. Once you have the measurements all figured out you can determine which springs are going to work with that set up. I have also included a link to our double-eye suspension FAQ article to the right.

  • Determining If Trailer Suspension Is Correct Since It Has 28-3/4" Hanger Spacing Instead Of 29-1/2"
Thanks for the measurements! You are correct that the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double Eye Springs - 3-1/4" Tall Front/Center/Rear # APT5 you were looking at is designed around 29-1/2" hanger spacing but your suspension is a bit different in a few key ways. The # APT5 uses 25-1/8" long springs and a 7-3/4" long equalizer, where your suspension uses a 26-1/2" spring and a 5-1/2" long equalizer. With these difference it is very possible your suspension is setup correct, as hanger...

  • Axle Placement Recommendations for Trailer Being Built
The axle placement guide picture that I attached will work for nearly all trailers because when followed properly you end up with the correct amount of tongue weight for the trailer so that it does not sway. To determine the location for the front and rear hangers on your tandem axle trailer you will first need to make sure that you have the correct center point for your equalizer hanger. The center point of your equalizer hanger needs to be located where you will have 60 percent of the frame of the trailer in front of the center of the equalizer hanger and 40 percent behind the center of the equalizer hanger. • Measuring the Distance Between Axles Using Suspension Kit # APT5
The difference in the measurements is because the centers of the springs (and axles) are closer to one hanger than the other because of the equalizer and shackle straps. The spread between the axles is therefore a little more. If the spring eyes attached directly to the center hanger then you would be correct, the measurement would be the same. But with the equalizer and shackle straps at the center hanger and the springs attached to those, the measurement would have to be different.

There are no installation instructions. • Should Loctite be Used when Install Trailer Suspension Parts
I would not use any Loctite when installing suspension components on a trailer since the suspension components need to be able to move relatively freely. I would be afraid of getting the thread locker on bolt or something away from the threads. If you were to use a thread locker then use the blue kind. The red is way too strong. The blue will allow nuts and bolts to be removed with hand tools. Maybe I'm just paranoid but for me, I wouldn't use it.

You bring up a great question. I attached the picture of the worksheet that you referenced as well.
