Today we're going to take a look at the Mighty Cord RV style 7-way to 5-way flat adapter plug. Now this adapter will convert your tow vehicle 7-way blade adapter into this 5-way flat connector. This piece is a nice molded 1-piece unit. You can see the connectors on each end, and also molded in is this nice easy grip handle you can see here that you just put two fingers on. It helps use it to plug it in and also to remove it. Now on this side you can see it has the 7-way design, but if you look closely only four of the outer terminals and then the center post is usable. Then on the other end you can see that's for the 5-way flat connector. This can also be used with a 4-way flat connector.
You just wouldn't use this end pin right here. That end pin on a 5-way is used for a reverse light circuit, because on a trailer that uses a 5-way that reverse light circuit is used to activate the reverse lock out on surge breaks, and on a 4-pin that's not used. You can put a 4-pin in here also if you'd like. That should do it for the review on the Mighty Cord RV style 7-way to 5-way flat adapter plug.
