Hitch arrived much earlier than expected and was easy to install. Looks great on my 2012 Dodge Journey and funtions as advertised. I definately recommend using some WD-40 to loosen the rubber grommets when lowering the muffler.
The hitch fit perfect and was easy to install. Only took 35min for the hitch once the exhaust was out of the way. Took an hour for the exhaust. The special tool would have helped. Hitch looks great under the vehicle. Would recommend this product.

Hitch was delivered very promply. Installation was very easy, I didn't even jack up the car or put it up on ramps. Wireing kit was very easy to install. Hitch and wireing kit had everything needed, I didn't have to purchase anything else. E-trailer also provides videos with step by step installation on what ever car or truck you are installing hitch on. I installed mine on a 2012 Dodge Journey.
Great hitch, able to install without additional help on garage floor.
NOTE:
One thing I found when installing the hitch without additional help to aid in bolt installation is to thoroughly clean the square frame around the tail of the handle nut with alcohol, then secure the handle with duct tape (aluminum duct tape works perfectly) while the bolt is threaded into the nut. Do this on both sides then remove the bolts prior to putting the hitch in place. This way the handle nut won’t move while holding the hitch in place and trying to insert the bolt.
This was the easiest receiver hitch I have ever installed. The product info and installation video made this a quick and easy install. This installation did not require any special tools or tough installation and this will allow me to tow a small boat and trailer. Once the hitch was installed it looks great and professionally installed. Everything I needed to install it was included and the fish wire for the bolts is genius. I highly recommend this hitch and etrailer as well.

WOW HITCH WENT ON EASY VIEDO WAS SPOT ON !! CAME TO ME 1 DAY EARLIER THEN STATED PACKED WELL STURDY MATERIAL AWESOME AND ONE OF THE BEST HITCHES I HAVE INSTALLED IN YEARS PICTURES SHOWS HITCH ON 2016 JOURNEY AND OTHER PHOTO SHOW WIREING UP THE TRAILER LIGHTS

great with no modifications. It truly was a plug and play operation, requiring no changes to the basic vehicle, which means that it can be removed later without issues. It took a little more time to get installed than I had expected, but a lot of that was because of how particular I was on hiding

Javier hi, I would like to hear your experience regarding the hitch on a 2015 journey crossroad with the chrome bar on the back fender. My journey crossroad has it and I am afraid that it could be damaged by the hitch. Thanks for your comments regarding this matter.Manny.

2015 Crossroad? Great thanks I have the same vehicle and have been looking for a hitch.
I was skeptical about installing this myself, but went for it. I was surprised on how easy the installation was. Fits great. The only thing that would make this kit better is a tool to remove exhaust hangers. The exhaust hangers were a pain without proper tool. Still I would purchase it again if necessary, and definitely recommend it.

Still looking great, now issues
I am very pleased with the hitch. Along with the hitch, I ordered the ball mount and the wiring harness. Delivery was on point.
I was going to have my mechanic install the hitch, but after watching your video a few times, I decided to tackle the job myself.
It did take me about three hours to complete the installation. Of course in your video, it's all done with a lift which I didn't have.
Followed the video and the installation came out great. Great product and video to referred to when needed.
Receiver fit into place with no issues. Only challenging part of the install was getting the muffler lowered since I had a hard time reaching the rubber isolators and getting them unhooked. Once that was out of the way the receiver went on fairly easily.

A year after installing and I have had zero issues with the hitch. Ive towed a couple boats, a [rental trailer] and regularly use a bed-box and bike rack on it and its worked great.
