Easy install with 2 people. The hitch was scratched a bit from shipping so I hit it with some bbq paint. Overall good hitch. Very sturdy.
I would recommend better bubble wrapping for shipping to prevent chips in paint. Knocking 1 star for that only.
It's rather straight forward to install. It took me about an hour and removing the muffler is a must. It's easier than it sounds. Fish wire is supplied to install the bolts and brackets in the frame rails. The fitment is perfect and it doesn't look big and obvious. The only difficult part was lifting the hitch up to the car and installing the nuts and washers. If you have someone to help, I'm sure it would go a tad quicker.
Very nice hitch. Some people complained about chipped paint. Mine was chipped too. I just touched up the paint before installing. Ez install. The hitch does hang a little lower than I expected, but that should not matter.
This is a heavy duty hitch. Husband only fussed a little installing it. He did not drop the exhaust as the directions suggested to do, so I guess it would have been easier if he did that. Looks great on my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek.

Still as good as new
This hitch perfectly fits my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek Premium even though I ordered the unit sized for a 2018, which I also own (& have this identical hitch mounted on) This hitch is perfect for a small utility trailer, but I use them for bike a carrier & a cargo platform. Installation is easy but I diverge from the instructions by dismounting the muffler rather than lowing the tail pipe. It can be a one-person install, but some wood blocks come in handy to hold the hitch in an elevated position when installing the nuts on the bolts.
Quality product, quick shipping, and good customer service! The box was missing the pin/ clip for the hitch and customer service handled the issue professionally and processed a replacement the following day. Install was straight forward with the provided instructions. A strap to hold the dual exhaust out of the way on my 09 Subaru Legacy sedan really helped with a jack stand as extra support. As others have mentioned a second set of hands to hold the bar in place while inserting the mounting bolts was quite necessary. Looks great on my vehicle and worked like a charm. Towed a 5' x 8' cargo trailer across the country MA to Co and back without issue. Makes it easy to couple or uncouple so you can be on your way at a moment's notice. Thank you etrailer!

Amazing product! I was a little skeptic when I found this hitch online for such a low price. But after reading the reviews and watching the installation video I figured I’d give it a chance. Product shipped right away and I received it sooner than expected. I had no problems installing the unit on my 2018 Crosstrek. This thanks to the engineering and craftsmanship that went into producing this product. I did not use a lift and installed the hitch by myself. There is plenty of clearance that you do not need a lift but an I would recommend having a second pair of hands. I improvised by using blocks to shim one side while I worked on the other. I also considered trying to leave the muffler in place but it was quickly obvious that it needed to be removed. Again I was amazed with the detail that went into design as everything fit into place with no drilling or cutting required. Installed on Friday, loaded bikes on Saturday morning for the first of many biking adventures to come.

Fit perfectly on my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. Easy installation. Had to remove muffler. No big deal, two bolts. Great installation kit. Mounted my USA1 bike carrier. Can barely see it when bike carrier is not in place. Saved money$$$
Easy install
Installed the hitch on a 2018 Crosstrek, video instructions were very good, the kit was excellent, everything fit where it was supposed to be. Installed the hitch without help, Used jackstands to support it while I started in the nuts. Very easy to install, no modifications needed.
The trailer hitch was fine and installed as expected. I will be using it with a bike rack. The packaging was damaged but no damage to the hitch. Customer service worked with me on the damaged packaging and there were no issues.

Still working fine after 1 year.
I took the muffler off as it helped give me more room to put the hitch on. The instructions and videos are very good. The rear bolts are a little short and getting the nut to start threading was tough. It would be great if the rear bolts were about 1/2" longer. With the frame sealant and the shims it was a bit tough to get the nuts on
I ordered this hitch on a Wednesday and it came to the house in three days and was on the car that Friday evening. Everything I have ordered from etrailer.com has been good quality. This hitch fit like it was supposed to and was relatively easy to put on the car. Good people to do business with.
With a little gumption and redneck ingenuity you can make this a solo project. It took me about an hour to install with about 4-5 F-bombs along the way. I do wish the bolts for the spacer holes were a half inch longer but I managed. Good luck, you got this.
The video was really helpful. We dropped the muffler as recommended. The front bolts with the spacer seemed almost too short until we started to tighten them down. Pretty straight forward except the rear passenger side bolt is really hard to access for the final torque. Took about an hour. Happy with the outcome!
I wanted to reach out to let you know that I received my item however, there are a lot of paint chips that have fallen off and when moved, it seems they continue to do so?
I’ve had mine for a year. It was relatively easy to install and has done everything I needed it to.

A couple of years in, I’m still happy with my Draw-Tite hitch on my 2019 Subaru Impreza.
This is a great hitch! I have had it for a year now and it has worked well for us. It was easy to install; no cutting or drilling was required. I only needed a few hand tools and it took about 30 minutes. I use it primarily for a rear bike rack to carry bikes to the trail head. I recommend it highly.
The hitch was just what I needed and it was easy enough to install by ourselves.

Good quality. Once the exhaust was dropped down it was easy to install. Definitely helps to have a second person to align and hold the hitch receiver while the nuts are started on the bolts.
Installation went smoothly. Somehow managed to do it myself. Though having a second set of hands just to hold hitch in place would have made things easier. Directions were good. I watched the website's video as well.
The hitch is secure and very functional. A perfect fit for the car and it keeps a low profile under the bumper.
This is the 3rd customized hitch bought from this site over the past 6 years and no complaints.

My hitch fit perfectly and installation went well. Great video that guided me step by step. Definitely needed a buddy to help lift and hold the hitch in place. The only time things went off course was when I didn’t follow the steps and removed the fish wire. Had to go ‘fishing’ for the chassis bolts with two magnet pick up tools and then things were back on track.

So far after a year the hitch works flawlessly!
I just got the hitch and bike rack and so far so good! Geoff was great when I called needing to make a change to my initial order and helped me find what I needed within the time frame I had. Very friendly, professional, and willing to serve the customer's needs. I don't have the items installed just yet, but barring any issues, everything was great with etrailer!

So the rack is working out well. I can fit 3 bikes without any major issues. A couple of things I would like to improve would be the locking mechanism on one of the fasteners. When I locked it the first time and used the key, it just wouldnt open back up and I really struggled to get it unlocked. It finally work for whatever reason and I decided not to use it and instead lock my bikes with a separate lock. The other smallish issue was the mounting brackets. You have to tighten them onto the single pole with a ratchet wrench or similar and take this with you. You may need a an extension to get in there to tighten and loosen. Not a deal breaker IMO but a hassle.This also makes it so that the brackets for each bike slip a little as you drive, so you need to check periodically. This can be an issue if it slips a lot and you need to remove your bike to get in and tighten the nuts on the bracket. So not perfect but very functional for what we paid.

Its been a year since Ive had the hitch. We went on a 5500 miles road trip and attached a cargo carrier with 150lbs+ of camping equipment. It worked really well and made travelling so easy! All while remaining rather inconspicuous when not being used.
