Question:
WE BOUGHT A 36644 DRAW TITE HITCH FOR A 2019 SUBARU CROSS TEK FROM YOU CUSTOMER WANTS TO NOW WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT FOR BIKE CARRIER WITH 2 INCH ADAPTER ON THIS HITCH

Expert Reply:
After installing The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36644 onto your 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, the hitch has a tongue weight of 350 pounds. You're only as strong as your weakest component, so you would need to check your vehicle's manual to find the proper tongue weight recommendation for your vehicle.
To make your 1-1/4 inch hitch to a 2 inch hitch The Hitch Adapter # HTAD is needed. Using this adapter will cut the tongue weight in half so 350 pounds of tongue weight turns into 175 pounds of tongue weight. All hitch expanders will cut the tongue weight by half.
The hitch expander has a sturdy steel construction and has a corrosion-resistant black powder coated finish.
