2011 Chevrolet Silverado

easy to assemble and fast service. excellent company!

by:

You folks should be proud of your csr service, not many companies can say that. Thanks for everything

by:

This hitch is incredibly easy to install. The bolt aligned very well if they were all tightened at the end of the assembly.

I only wish I needed another one to install

by:

Product fit perfectly and and was easy to install. From box opening to to towing takes about 40 minutes.

by:

WOW !! got the hitch and plug in a couple of days!! Plug and play, just like you videos!! Couldn't be happier!! I'll be back and buy more
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Chevrolet

Excellent/simple install, not fit, equip, or other issues. Very happy with the hitch, wiring plug, and prices. Chevy wanted an arm and a leg.

by:

Quick delivery from etrailer.com, took about 20 minutes to install. The hitch is heavy duty,
and I love how it fits under the truck....out of
view. I could not be more pleased.

by:
2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

Product got here very quickly and it only took about 20 minutes to install. Didn't even have to remove the spare tire. This is an extremely good company to deal with. Looking forward to future dealings. I definately recommend etrailer.com to anyone.

by:

All around great product as of today. Haven't put it to the test but it is made strong and seems like a quality product. Shipping was fast and I look forward to working with etrailer again

by:

Received hitch in record time, installed very easily, did not have to remove my Spare tire. Highly reccomend Etrailer and plan to buy from again.

by:

The box arrived kinda beat up, no harm. I used a floor jack and 2 jackstands raising each a little at a time. I didn't have any help. Got it into position and installed in just a little bit. The only thing I would suggest to other customers is, forget about lowering the spare tire. I didn't lower the spare tire and that was no problem. Good delivery and good product that fit. Thanks

by:

Great hitch. Very nice construction, great design and it fit perfectly. Installation was a breeze and the finished look was the best ever. I probably won't utilize it's full capacity but for the price it's nice to know it's available. I highly recommend this hitch.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Packed well, nice and clean and easy to install.

It took me longer to find the handle to lower the spare than it did to install the hitch!
Simple installation.

I checked prices and couldn't find a better deal.
I also bought an electric brake controller and 7 pin plug from etrailer.com.

by:
2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Replaced the OEM hitch receiver that rotted from the inside out on a 2008 GMC 1500. Fit perfect and looks like it belongs on the truck. It sits at the right height and the crossbar blends with the bumper.

by:

I had no intention of buying a new hitch. I had taken my truck to have an exhaust pipe welded and the tech reported my hitch was rusted bad enough that he could put his screw driver through it. After confirming his claims I purchased this hitch. I have used it to tow several times over the past year and I have had no problems with it. The install was a straightforward and quick process

by:

Perfect fit. Very easy to install. Much better quality than the factory hitch.

by:

This trailer hitch is better than oem. It is sealed at the ends to ensure the elements stay out to prevent internal deterioration.

by:

This is a outstanding hitch. All of the hardware came with it. The new hitch mounted up to my pickup perfectly. My old hitch was rusting badly and needed replaced on my 2011 Chevy Silverado.
I would definitely order again for another vehicle.

It is still working just fine. No issues at all. I would definitely purchase again.

by:

Quality product, delivered as promised. Installation video was helpful in preparing for install. Removing the old hitch took the most time.

by:

IT fit and did exactly what it's supposed to do. i do wish you would do better on the packaging. the holes in the box upon arrival and possible damage is not what you want to see,

  • Difference Between Draw Tite and Curt Hitch
Hey Clint, the Draw Tite part # 75362 and the Curt # 14301 are both a fit for your 2013 Chevy Silverado and are great options but they are made by two different companies so they took a slightly different approach which explains the slight differences and capacities. If you need the higher capacity though the Curt is the way to go. Only the hitch opening of the Curt hangs below the rear bumper so it's more concealed as well.

  • Will Hitch for 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Fit 2011 Silverado 1500
Hi Jason; hitches for the 2014 Silverado 1500 will not fit the 2011 model. The frame changed in 2014 so the hitches also had to change. If you need a hitch for your 2011 Silverado 1500 you can use the etrailer # e98849 you were looking at. If you need a higher class hitch we also have the Class IV # 14301 and Class V # C15323.

The mounting holes are slightly different between Curt trailer hitch # C14006 and # 14301. I have included a side by side picture that shows this. Otherwise they have the same capacities. I have linked instructions for both hitch for you. If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2416. It comes with a ball mount with a 3 inch rise or 4 inch drop, a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If the ball mount kit...

  • Does a Curt Trailer Hitch # 14301 Limit Access to the Spare Tire if Installed on 2013 Chevy 1500
To install the Class IV Curt trailer hitch # 14301 on your 2013 Chevy 1500 you will need to temporarily remove the spare tire for accessibility to the hitch mounting locations. After installation is complete and the spare tire is re-installed you will not have any issues with accessibility or clearance around the full size spare tire when mounted in the factory location. I have included a photo of this hitch installed on a slightly older Chevy truck, and you can see that there is no interference...

  • Class IV Trailer Hitch for a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 Work Truck 4x4
Thanks. We think you are pretty awesome, too! You can certainly go to a higher capacity trailer hitch which will help with your current situation and provide additional capacity should you upgrade trailers or boats in the future. Keep in mind though that you will be limited to the truck's towing capacities specified in the owner's manual. For your 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 you can go with Curt hitch # 14301. This hitch is rated for 1,000 pounds tongue weight and 10,000 pounds gross trailer...

  • Why Doesn't Curt Hitch 14301 Bolt to Bumper
It's hard to say exactly why the Curt hitch part # 14301 doesn't bolt to the bumper like the OEM hitch but most likely they determined that it didn't add much to the strength of the hitch so they left it off. The hitch has been thoroughly tested and has a higher weight capacity of 10,000 lbs so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

  • Replacing OEM Hitch On 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 - Class IV
The factory hitch that came with your GMC Sierra 1500 was at least a Class III and possibly a class IV depending on what trim level you have. Looking at the available products as well as your specific application and towing needs, I recommend replacing your OEM hitch with the Curt Class IV Hitch # 14301 which has the 1000 lbs TW and 10000 lbs GTW you're looking for. I would caution you to give more consideration to a weight distribution hitch instead of a pure bumper pull, based upon your...

As long as your 2007 GMC Sierra New Body has the standard rear bumper (see photo), I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14301. This is a direct bolt on hitch that will not require any cutting or drilling. You will also be able to retain the use of the factory spare tire with this hitch. It has a Class IV rating with a 2" receiver tube opening. The hitch is made right here in the U.S.A. and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have attached an install video of this hitch...

The best hitch I'd recommend for your 2011 Chevy Silverado is the Curt hitch part # 14301 because it has great towing capacities at 10,000 lb trailer weight and because it has only the hitch tube that hangs below the rear bumper for a more concealed look. I attached a picture of what the hitch looks like installed as well as an install video.

I checked with Curt and the # 14301 is a fit for all models of your 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500. There are special instructions for this hitch if there is a factory hitch present or not. I attached a portion of the install instructions that covers this. The hitch in question is a bumper hitch which basically puts a ball on the bumper. The 1992 Chevy C/K series trucks and the 2007 GMC Sierra, whether it be a Sierra Classic or the new body style would use different hitches, unfortunately the hitch from your older Silverado wouldn't work on your GMC Sierra as the frames were different. • Maximum Towing Capacity for 2009 Chevrolet Silverado
I checked the owner's manual for your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and the gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of your vehicle is 13,000 lbs. The best way to determine your towing capacity is to load your truck with all the people and cargo that you plan to carry when leaving on a trip and then weigh the truck. You will subtract this weight from the GCWR. This number will be the true maximum towing capacity of your Silverado. I typically don't recommend towing at your maximum capacity,...

If it is a 1500 with standard bed, it is rated to tow 5,100 lbs. If it is a long bed then 4,900 lbs. These ratings are based on model year, regular cab, 4WD, engine size, and that truck has the 4.30:1 axle ratio. You may be further restricted by your hitch receiver or other towing components, but components rated higher than this like the Curt # 14301 you asked from will not increase your towing capacity. that being said, this is a great hitch receiver that will serve you well.
