Question:
The Curt Mfg site lists the 14301 as fitting a 2016 Silverado 1500 W/T Dbl Cab They say that you have to remove the factory bumper hitch, and it’ll work, but your site says it won’t fit Instead to pick the 14006 model I would like it to look as factory installed as possible, so will it fit without having to drill new holes or modify any existing holes? What if any benefits is there to buying the 14006 or Drawtite 76016?

I checked with Curt and the # 14301 is a fit for all models of your 2016 Chevy Silverado 1500. There are special instructions for this hitch if there is a factory hitch present or not. I attached a portion of the install instructions that covers this. The hitch in question is a bumper hitch which basically puts a ball on the bumper. That's what would need to get removed if you did NOT have a factory hitch that fits below the bumper. There's really no other benefit to going with the other Curt hitch # C14006 or the Draw Tite part # 76016.
