The etrailer brand # e98849 is a fit for all trim levels of the 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, including your LTZ. The hitch has a 6000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacity or 10000 lb towing/1000 tongue weight if used with weight distribution.
For a higher capacity, the Curt # 14301 has a capacity of 10000 lb towing/1000 lb tongue weight or 12000/1200 lbs if used with weight distribution.
I've linked to installation videos and instructions for the hitches mentioned above.
