Video Transcript for Review of Dexter Trailer Hubs and Drums - Hub with Integrated Rotor - 008-416-93

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat oil bath hub and rotor assembly with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and the 9/16 inch diameter studs and this is for the 7,000 pound axles. Now, this is an oil bath and hub and rotor assembly that is again designed to work with the 7,000 pound Dexter disc brakes. We mentioned the rotor diameter is 12-1/4 inches, bolt pattern of 8 on 6-1/2 inches, and the bolt diameter of 9/16 of an inch. The machine process on this process will minimize run out and warping. The contaminants can't get in between the rotor and the hub 'cause it's all one piece.

The e-coat finish on it protects against corrosion and wear. And if you look on the side, it is a vented design and that's designed to regulate temperatures to prevent overheating. Now, this part will include everything laid out here on the table. We're gonna go through all the parts. First, it'll come with the hub and rotor oil bath assembly with the 9/16 standard wheel studs.

Now, the bearing races are already pre-installed, the outer bearing race right here and then the inner bearing race. Let me just turn this around. It's already pre-installed also. Now, it does come with the outer bearing, which is this one right here. And that's part number 141258.

The inner bearing, which will go in the back, that's included, that's part number 25580. Comes with the unitized oil seal that'll go in after the bearing's put in to help seal it and that's part number 10-63. The oil cap right here, that'll thread into the front here to cover the outer bearing, that's included. That's part number RGO4-230. And then, of course, comes with eight of the 9/16 by 18 lug nuts.

Those are part number 6-53. Those lug nuts are designed to hold your wheel and tire assembly to this hub. This is a cast iron construction providing strength and durability. It is made in the USA. Again, it fits axles with a 7,000 pound capacity. And the wheel size that'll fit on this is 16 inch, 16-1/2, and 17 inch size wheels. But that should do it for the review on this Dexter 12-1/4 inch e-coat oil bath hub and rotor assembly with the 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern and the 9/16 inch diameter studs for the 7,000 pound axles.

The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Oil Bath # 8-219-9UC3-A should not be machined in order to be used as a hub and rotor, but there is an oil bath hub and rotor with the same bearings and seal as this drum assembly. The Dexter 12-1/4" Hub-and-Rotor Assembly - Oil - 8 on 6-1/2 - E-Coat - 9/16" Bolts - 7K # 008-416-93 uses inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # 14125A, and Oil Seal # 10-63, which are the same as the drum assembly it sounds...
