  • Snow Tire Chain Recommendation for a P275/60R20 Tire
  • Check out the link I attached to the right that has all of the different snow chains we carry that are confirmed to fit the tire size you have of P275/60R20. After having installed all of the different styles of snow chains we carry I would recommend the Titan Chain Diamond HD Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2533. These are pretty easy to install and are priced great. I attached an FAQ article on snow chains for you to check out as well. Lastly you will want to check your owners manual...

  • What Works Better Snow Chains Or Snow Cables On A 2007 Nissan Frontier 4X4
  • Both of the snow chains and snow cables will work great in snow conditions. The difference is the snow chains will give you better grip in more ice conditions because the chain links will bite into the ice where as the snow cables tend to slide over the ice. The snow chains will make a little more noise on dry pavement as compared to the snow cables. The Pewag Tire Chains, # PWXMR81V, you have referenced is a good choice for snow chains on your 2007 Nissan Frontier 4x4. Another good...

  • Recommended Tire Chains For 35x12.5r18 Tires On Ford Truck
  • For your 35x12.5r18 tires, I recommend the Pewag All Square Mud Service Snow Tire Chains - 1 Pair, # PWE2441S. These are designed for on or off road use in mud or snow. These chains are made from a durable and rust resistant nickel manganese alloy steel. The links are 8.2mm thick and a square link that will give you superior strength and grip. You will also want some rubber adjusters like # PW99 to keep the chains tight. For a slightly more economical option, I recommend the Pewag...

  • For a set of tire chain tensioners (adjusters) that will fit the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners part # PWE2255SC on your 335/80-20 tires I recommend using the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters part # PW103. These tensioners are designed specifically for larger wheels and tires. They will do an excellent job of keeping your tire chains in the correct position to ensure optimal performance. I have attached a review video for you as well.

  • Recommended Snow Chains for 235/60-17 Tires
  • Yes, the Pewag Snox Pro Tire Chains, # PWSXV580, is confirmed to fit 235/60-17 tires. Before using tire chains, I strongly recommend reviewing your owners manual for any restrictions or procedures that the vehicle manufacturer has on the use of tire chains. • Will Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains Fit 2018 Jeep Wrangler With 35x12.5-17 Tires
  • The Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for Wide-Base Tires # PWE3235SC are a fit for the 35x12.5-17 tires on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited. I went out to measure these chains to determine clearance and at their widest they are 1 inch so that would be the necessary amount of clearance you would need to make absolutely sure there is no contact. I have added links to video reviews of these tire chains for you to check out as well.

  • Snow Chain Recommendation for 285/65R20 Tire Size

These offer superior traction, are made of nickel manganese alloy steel for a long life and are confirmed to fit your tire size. • Are There Different Speed Ratings For Snow Tire Chains?
  • All tire chains for all size tires have that 30 mph speed rating. People obviously can choose to follow those ratings or not, but the ratings are there to protect your vehicle. Your owners manual will give restrictions on what you can use and how fast you can use it. For your 35X12.5X20 tires, I recommend the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners for Wide-Base Tires - 1 Pair, # PWE3229SC, for the best traction.

  • For a heavy duty set of tire chains confirmed to fit the tire size you have on your Bobcat I would recommend the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains # PWE3210SC. If you plan on using the Bobcat on any asphalt you will want to be very careful with these chains installed and remove them immediately if you get to dry pavement as they will tear up the asphalt/concrete.

  • What Does the Class S Designation Mean for Snow Chains
  • Tire chains that have the Class S designation are designed for use on vehicles with restricted wheel well clearance. Some newer cars, vans and small trucks, especially those with large, aftermarket tires, may require the use of Class S chains. Class S chains will fit your tires provided there is both: A - a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well B - at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself (see image) Not...

Use tire chains on the rear wheels on the following tire sizes only: 205/65-17 225/60-17 245/50-18 245/45-19 Do NOT use tire chains on tire size 245/55-17 (or a different size) and chains on the front are not recommended for any size. If you can tell me which size tires you have I can make some recommendations. I have included a link to the tire chain main page for your vehicle.

  • The Pewag # PWE2439S chain is indeed designed for both on and off road use, and will fit the 265/75-16 tires but NOT the 285/75-16 tires. I was able to find a V-Bar Snow Chain, part # PWH2828SC that will fit both tire sizes you mentioned and can be used on or off-road. Using the optional rubber tensioners, part # PW99 is also recommended.

  • Tire Chain Recommendation for Toolcat with Snowblower on Paved Surfaces
  • For the best performance, I would recommend going with the Pewag All Square Tire Chains, # PWE3210SC, that you referenced. The square link chains have an edge that will help grip on ice and in heavy snow conditions. As far as damage is concerned, you will likely see chain marks on your driveway if it is a blacktop driveway with any type of tire chain. The blacktop surface is softer than concrete and is not very durable against metal. You could take a look at the Glacier Chains Twist-Link...

The Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with Cam Tighteners, # PWE2219SC, will fit your tire and wheel well. The chain links themselves are only 5.6 millimeters think so there should still be enough clearance between the two tires.

  • Chains vs Cables for 2014 Dodge Ram 3500 4-Wheel Drive Pick Up Truck with LT275/70-R18 Tires
  • I recommend chains because they will have superior traction in snow and grip on ice. Cables and/or rollers have good traction in light snow and a relatively smooth ride. The Pewag # PWXMR81V you referenced will only work with 185/60-R15 size tires. The one I recommend is the diamond pattern Titan chain # TC2533. The diamond pattern will offer more tire coverage. The square link type will have squared edges providing more "bite". The ride is a little rougher versus others. I would...

Unfortunately we have not had the chance to install these chains on a dual rear wheel vehicle yet, so the photo you see is the generic photo of the ASV tire chains from the manufacturer. These chains will fit dual 11-22.5 wheels and includes a complete chain set for 1 axle. For the 445/65-22.5 super singles, I recommend the Pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains, # PWE3261SC....

  • Tire Chains for Infrequent Use on a 2012 Chevy Suburban with 275/55-20 Tires
  • For infrequent use I usually recommend cable style chains like # TC2028 with tensioners # TCMA3 to keep the cables tight and centered. Cables also require little clearance and cost less than traditional chains. You would only need to have them on the rear wheels of your 2012 Chevy Suburban and 275/55-20 tires. If you wanted to go with regular chains then I recommend # TC2327 because they offer good coverage and require little clearance (Class S chains). I have linked some videos of...

  • Recommended Class U Tire Chains for 2011 Mercedes Sprinter Dually

Should you follow the advice of Mercedes and chain all four rear tires, or just two of them? That will have to be up to your discretion. Having all four rear tires chained up will provide superior traction versus having chains on two tires....
