  • Recommended Sewer Hose Storage For Hose That Wont Fit In Trailer Bumper
  • We have had someone tell us the swivel fittings that particular hose won't fit in the 4 inch bumper of your trailer, and the manufacturer said they could grind down two of the lugs and the hose would then fit. We do have a video which I've attached of the RhinoFLEX RV Sewer Hose w Swivel Fittings, 4-in-1 Adapter, and Storage Caps - 15' Long # CAM39761 fitting in a bumper. Since your Rhino Extreme won't fit in your trailer bumper, I have a solution that won't require grinding down your...

  • Recommended Dual Propane Tank Regulator With Automatic Changeover
  • To add a propane tank to your RV, I recommend the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks, # CAM59005. This will allow you to use the extra tank first and then draw from you RV's tank. This will switch automatically so you don't end up with a 1/2 cold shower because your extra tank ran out. It does have a guage that will let you know when the tanks are running low so you can swap them out manually. If you want to ensure you don't drain one tank, simply...

  • Recommended Regulator for 100 lb Propane Tank and Vent-less Heater Appliance for Emergencies
  • For your propane tank with fill valve, you most likely need the Camco Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator w/ P.O.L - 160,000 Btu/Hr # CAM59333. This will have the 1/4 inch NPt inlet and the 3/8 NPT outlet and will maintain a constant 11 inch water column propane pressure for your vent-less heater.

  • Recommended 50 AMP RV Adapters for 3&4 Prong 30 AMP Plugs on Honda EU 6500 IS Generator to Power RV
  • Using the Honda generator to power your RV is a great idea. You can use either outlet to power your RV. For any appliances that use less than 125V of power, I would recommend you use the 3 prong 30 amp outlet with a 50 amp adapter like the Camco # CAM55412. This will allow the generator to run economically when using appliances rated for less than 125V; most commonly RV appliances are rated for 120V. If you have any appliances that run on higher voltage than 125V you will want to...

  • Can 50 Amp Surge Protector Be Used On 30 Amp Service In RV
  • You can use a 50 amp surge protector on your 30 amp service but I would offer a bit of caution. If any of your appliances or items are rated at 30 amps and something happened that caused them to draw more power, the 50 amp surge protector would not trigger and you could suffer damage to those items. If you decide to use the 50 amp surge protector I recommend making sure everything is in good working order, but as I stated, if there were a problem it may cause damage because the circuit...

  • The Camco RV Replacement Water Heater Element # CAM02143, according to Camco, is a fit for a range of water heater brands. The gasket is included. The unit screws in with a 1-1/4-inch diameter threaded portion and its overall length end to end is 6-1/4-inches. When removing the original element and installing the new unit, be sure to follow the safety precautions outlined on the packaging and/or as noted by the manufacturer of your water heater or RV. According to Camco this replacement...

  • Will Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod Work With Atwood Water Heater
  • I went to the warehouse and pulled one of the Camco RV Water Heater Anode Rod, part # CAM11553. I took some measurements and have attached a photo of the rod with the measurements noted. The threaded portion of the rod measures just a little over 3/4 inches at .827 inches. You mentioned the plug you pulled from the water heater is 3/4 inch. I called my contact at CAMCO and they told me that this is designed to work with Atwood water heaters so this should work great for you.

  • Replacement Heating Element for a Suburban SW6DE Water Heater
  • I was looking through the manual for the Suburban SW6DE water heaters and found that the Suburban replacement is similar but shorter than the Camco model # CAM02143. It looks like the original one used in that water heater was discontinued and replaced with 520900. So I do believe that Camco Water Heater Element - Screw-In - 1500 Watts - 120 Volts Item # CAM02143 will work. Another option is Camco RV Replacement Water Heater Element - Universal - 1,500W/120V Item # CAM04363. Both of...

  • Connecting to Generator from 50 Amp Service on RV
  • For the 3 prong 30 amp outlet on your generator, I recommend using the Power Grip Generator 30 Amp to 50 Amp RV Power Cord Adapter # CAM55412. The 3-Prong twist-lock design will connect with the outlet on the generator and the female end will connect with your RV's 50-amp power plug. This adapter is rated for up to 125 volts. For higher voltage items, you can use the Mighty Cord Generator Adaptor # A10-G30450VP. This is rated for up to 240 volts of power and will connect to the 4 prong...

  • Size of Propane Hose to Go From Tank to Regulator on RV
  • Most regulators like the part # CAM59005 have an inlet of 1/4 inch SAE and an outlet of 3/8 NPT. It would be out of the ordinary if your tank to regulator wasn't 1/4 inch SAE inverted flare. Part # CAM59053 has this style of fittings on both sides. Part # 100040-144-MBS has 3/8 inch on the other hand. Heres how you tell difference between 3/8 NPT and 1/4 NPT. The difference is the outside diameter. 1/4 inch is .540 outside diameter on the threads and 3/8 inch is .675 inch.

  • Does Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer Dogbone CAM55313 Correct Miswired Outlets
  • The Camco RV Power Defender Circuit Analyzer Dogbone # CAM55313 will tell you if the power outlet at an RV park is wired properly to prevent damage to the connected RV's electrics, but it does not correct for any mis-wired outlets. It is a warning device only. My contact at Camco confirmed that when three of the four LED indicator lights are lit yellow on the main body of the unit the outlet is wired correctly. They also offer a similar unit, their Power Defender Voltage Analyzer...

  • Troubleshooting a Propane Automatic Changeover that Isn't Changing Over
  • It is possible that the regulator has gone bad in 4 months, but it is highly unlikely. As you have such small tanks, the issue may be that the outlet pressure isn't strong enough to recognize. The Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 is designed for an outlet pressure of 11 inch WC. It may be that the regulator is still sensing the propane in the tank and yet isn't allowing it through because of the pressure lacking yet won't change over...

  • What is the Difference Between a Power Analyzer and a Surge Protector 50 Amp Adapter
  • An analyzer such as # CAM55313 has diagnostic lights to indicate faults so that you can avoid damage to your RV. This model also offers surge protection. A model that offers only surge protection would not have any diagnostics. But some have both. There is also the Power Defender # CAM55306 that takes surge protection a step further by having the ability to detect too much AND too little power and disconnect and reconnected as needed.

  • How is the Thickness of the Camco Cam Locks Measured
  • The thickness of the Camco Cam Locks is measured from the back of the face of the lock to the latch (see photo). Based on the photo you submitted, I believe you would want the Camco Cam Lock -1-1/8 Thick, # CAM44363. This lock measures 1-1/8 inches from the back of the lock face to the latch.

  • Regulator and Hose to Connect Propane Tank to Deep Fryer
  • Check the deep fryer literature or the fryer itself to find the propane pressure required by the fryer. If it is 11" w.c. you could use # CAM59013. Regarding a hose it is going to depend on the type of fitting that is on the fryer. Hose # CAM59843 is commonly used with 20 or 30 pound LP tanks.

  • Converting 1/4 Inch Inverted Male Flare Fitting to 1/4 Inch Male NPT
  • Fitting # CAM59953 is designed to connect a 1/4 inch inverted flare to a 1/4 inch female NPT. The one end is a 1/4 inch male NPT and the other is a 1/4 inch female inverted flare fitting. It sounds like you need one that does the opposite but we do not have one. Hose # CAM59153 has the 1/4 inch inverter flare male end on one side and would screw into the larger female end of # CAM59953 but then you would still have a 1/4 inch non-inverted flare male end after that. If that is what you...

  • Can the RhinoFLEX Sewer Hose Fit in a Hollow 4 Inch Square Steel Bumper on a Trailer
  • To fit the hose in the bumper you will have to take the orange collars off the ends of the RhinoFLEX hose. There should be side storage on your trailer that you can store these and other items in allow the hose by itself to fit as intended. This is the first time I have heard of this issue and I am surprised since 4 inch square is the typical size for a trailer bumper and the orange sleeves are larger diameter. The only option would be to remove the collars and the elbow and store them...

  • Troubleshooting Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator
  • I spoke with my contact at CAMCO and he said it sounds like rushing the LP through the Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator # CAM59005 caused the check valve to automatically shut off. He recommended turning off all propane at the bottle and turning off all downstream appliances and wait about 15 minutes for the system to reset, then when you hear a click in the green nut the system will be reset and you can turn back on the propane at the bottle.

  • Are Two Camco Premium Locking Wheel Stops CAM44662 Needed for 25-Foot Trailer
  • One of the Camco Premium Locking Wheel Stops # CAM44662 will effectively prevent the trailer from rolling. But adding a second one on the other side of the axles will further stabilize the trailer and help to reduce any wander from half the axle being unsecured. If you want a set of two you might prefer part # UF21-001070 or part # UF21-001091 from Ultra-Fab.
