Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer And today we have the Swagman Paramount tailgate pad. We're gonna be taking a look at how it fits our 2013 Ford F-150. This is gonna be a great middle of the road tailgate pad where it allows you to carry around a lot of bikes without taking up a lot of space or spending a lot either. Now this is still gonna be technically an entry level tailgate pad at its price point, but it does have some extra features to it that are worth taking a look at. And we're gonna focus though on our F-150 here. The main thing here is that with this being a full-sized tailgate pad, it does fit very well on the F-150 with how much it covers.

Softride Element Parallelogram Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F-150 we're gonna be doing a test fit of the Softride Element Parallelogram. This is gonna be your hanging style, 4 bike rack with a tilting feature and a 2 inch shank for your 2 inch hitches only. It'll be part number SR26248. And as you can notice, it does have two setting points to where you can either go further out from your bumper or closer in. We're gonna go ahead and insert into our 2 inch receiver that we have here today and line up our pinholes. For demonstration purposes, we're gonna go all the way in, as close we can. So we'll go into the farthest pinhole so we can see what kind of clearances we have. All right, once we have it in as far as we can, go ahead and insert your anti-rattle bolt.



Swagman XTC4 Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Swagman XTC4, this would be your platform style 4 bike rack that comes with a 2 inch shank for your 2 inch hitches only. Be part number S64665. We're going to go ahead and get it fitted onto our truck that we have here today. Insert your shank into your receiver and line up your pin holes. Once you have your pin holes lined up, we'll go ahead and insert our anti rattle bolt by removing the lock and then placing the anti rattle bolt into your hole, threading it in as far as we can by hand and then following it up with a 7/8 inch socket to tighten it up the rest of the way. The socket, anti rattle bolt is going to help to get rid of a lot of the play, rattle and wobble that you may have inside your bike carrier.



Thule Gate Mate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 we'll be test fitting the Thule Gate Mate tailgate pad and bike rack for full-sized trucks, part number th824. We'll begin our test fit by placing the Gate Mate onto our vehicles tailgate. We'll then lift up the hook and loop access pad to expose the tailgate handle. We'll pull down the tailgate handle and shove the three straps on the underside of the tailgate. We'll then close the tailgate and get inside of the bed. Again, we'll open up the tailgate which will allow us to get our fingers down in between the tailgate and the truck bed to pull the straps up through.



Swagman Pick-Up Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 we'll be testing the Swagman Pickup Truck Bed Mounted 2 Bike Carrier, part number S64702. We'll begin our test fit by placing one end of the rack onto one side of the bed rail of our truck. We'll then use the silver lever to extend out the bike rack to fit the width of our bed rails. Now what you'll want to do is make the rack a little bit longer than the distance between each bed rail and then insert the bike rack at a diagonal and push it in position, making sure the bike rack is perpendicular to the bed rails of our F150. Now with everything secured and tightened down were ready to load up our bike. We'll double check to make sure the skewer is loosened and we'll place our bike into our truck bed.



Yakima DoubleDown Ace Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150, well be test fitting the Yakima DoubleDown Ace 4 Bike Carrier, part number Y02451. To being our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, align up our pin holes, insert the pin with the red knob into the pin hole and then turn the black knob located at the base of the carrier to engage our anti-rattle device. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle fit together. There are about 17 and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about five and a half inches. Weve added about 12 and a half inches to the overall length of the vehicle. With this bike carrier, you will not be able to have access to your trunk bed as the tailgate hits the mast of the carrier. To load the bike, well pull the red latch located at the top of the mast, swing the cradle arms out and undo the cradle straps.



Yakima StickUp 2 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 well be test fitting the Yakima Stickup two bike carrier, part number Y02420. To begin our test fit well slide shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes, thread our anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pin holes and tighten with a wrench. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 18 inches of ground clearance. The closest part of the vehicle to the closest part of the carrier is about two and a half inches. With the platform folded up weve added about 12 inches to the overall length of the vehicle.



Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2013 Ford F-150

Today on our 2013 Ford F150 well be test fitting the Thule Vertex four bike carrier, part number TH9029. To begin our test fit well slide shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch, line up our pin holes. Well then thread our anti-rattle bolt through the threaded pin holes and tighten with a wrench. Now lets go over some clearance measurements to see how the bike carrier and this vehicle will fit together. There is about 18 inches of ground clearance.
