I prefer the Blue Ox flat towing setups over the Roadmaster kits as I have found them to be just a little easier to use and they are very well made. I wouldn't worry to much about the bumper cuts and it doesn't affect the shudder system like you mentioned either. So for your 2023 Ford Maverick I would go with the base plate kit part # BLU86HR.

Hey Tom, the brake relay part # RM-88400 and the brake switch kit part # RM87GR actually do two different things. The brake switch kit is an easy way to get the stoplight signal isolated to trigger a braking system whereas the brake relay part # RM-88400 is designed to prevent the brake light from taking over the turn signals on the towed vehicle's taillight wiring. Hey Michael, the correct picture of the etrailer base plate kit part # e96GV is the first picture which closely resembles the Demco.
