Bruce, I'd recommend going with the Roadmaster Direct Connect Base Plate Kit # RM97RR. This base plate is custom fit to your Maverick, is made in the USA, and includes all the hardware and instructions for install.

If you're interested in a complete flat towing setup you're also going to need a set of tow bars # RM-676, a braking system # RM-9060-900002, a charge line kit # RM-88400, a wiring harness # RM-15267, and a charge line kit # RM-156-25.

Thanks for the reply. I read that some prefer the Crossbar Style vs the Direct Connect Style to avoid an excessive drop hitch on the motorhome. Is this something I should be concerned about?

@BruceR Not really, the drop is going to be more based on the vehicle itself not the base plate style. The crossbar vs direct connect just has to do with the way the tow bars connect.

@BryceD After reviewing the installation instructions, I see that extensive cutting of the Grill Shutter System and Air Dam/Deflector. I'm assuming this may affect the cooling system and void warranty of any cooling related problems. Is this something to worry about? I also watched the install video on the Demco Base Plate. It looks like a lot less cutting. Are there any other pros or cons on Demco vs Roadmaster Base plate(s)? Thanks.

@BruceR Bruce, it shouldn't void your warranty unless the aftermarket part is what caused the problem directly. Also, in the instructions for # DM77YV they only show that the air dam needs a chunk cut out so it is a lot loss cutting. The Demco baseplate has a bit more of a slant outwards compared the the Roadmaster # RM97RR which is why you don't need to cut out as much.
