Hey David, thanks for reaching out. That torque spec will depend on the wheel type. For a 1/2" lug nut on a 15" steel wheel the torque spec is 90-120 ft-lbs. Yes, you will have to drill holes in your lower fascia to attach the plug mount that is included with the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit # DM77YV. This is a main reason I prefer to use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate # RM97RR as they include mounts on their base plate for the wiring/plug mount. There is also a connection for a breakaway cable that comes with a Braking System # SM99251.
