I am always pleased at how simple the ordering is, how fast my items come, and their vast selection of parts. • Do the Wires of the Optronics Trailer Lights # QH16CTS Run Through the Mounting Post
I went out into our warehouse and pulled a Optronics Trailer Lights # QH16CTS and found that the wires come out of the back of the light assembly and not through the mounting post. I checked all of the other pedestal halogen lights we carry and they all have the lights coming out the back of the assembly like this unit. It would be just a matter of drilling a hole and installing a grommet to run the wires.

  • Adjustable Utility Light for Loading and Unloading a Horse Trailer at Night
The utility light # QH16CTS is a 55-watt halogen light (like a car head light) so it will be as bright as one low beam car light. I would go with 2 of these lights for your application. You will want to be able as see as much as possible when there are animals involved.

The dimensions of the light on the Optronics Halogen Utility Light # QH16CTS is 2-3/4" tall and 4-1/2" wide. I have included a picture with these dimensions for you as well. The entire unit is 5-3/4" wide, 4" tall, and 2-3/4" deep.

  • Will the Optronics Halogen Utility Light QH16CTS Work On a Snow Blower
The Optronics Halogen Utility Light part # QH16CTS is designed for use with a 12 volt power supply. Therefore, if the snow blower has a 12 volt battery then yes, the Optronics Halogen Utility Light will work. If it has a different battery size we would not have any options unfortunately.

  • Diameter of the Mounting Stud of the 55-Watt Halogen Area Utility Light # QH16CTS
I went and pulled a 55-Watt Halogen Area Utility Light # QH16CTS from our warehouse to measure the diameter of the mounting stud and found that it is .3 of an inch (or 5/16 inch) and the nut on the stud is .5 of an inch in diameter. So if you wanted to use this on your setup you would need to use a washer with a hole in the center of it that is about .3 inches in diameter and an overall diameter of about 3/4 of an inch.

  • Can the Optronics Halogen Utility Light Be Installed On a Snowblower
The Optronics Halogen Utility Light part # QH16CTS will require a 12 volt power source for proper operation. I don't have any specifics on the power circuit for your snowblower but so long as you have an available 12 volt power source such as a stator (attached to the flywheel) then you can run a utility light like the above.

  • Can Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Light # QH16CTS Be Wired into Reverse Lights of 2013 Ford F-150
It is possible to wire an auxiliary light such as the Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Light # QH16CTS into the reverse light circuit of a vehicle. In order to do so the circuit must have the current capacity for both the OEM bulbs and the additional light. I researched in the online manual for your 2013 F-150 the bulbs used and the fuse rating for the reverse light circuit. The truck uses two 921 bulbs, each rated to draw 1.3 amps. The two bulbs together will draw 2.6 amps. This circuit is protected...

  • How Many More Lumens Will an LED Flood Light Put Out When Compared To a Halogen Flood Light
I am not sure which flood light that you are referring to but if you know the type and wattage rating of the bulb then you can get a good idea of the lumen output. The Optronics Halogen Utility Light part # QH16CTS for example contains a 35 watt halogen bulb therefore it will have an estimated lumens output of around 700. For an LED replacement, I recommend the Buyers Products LED Flood Beam Light part # 3371492190 which has 16, 24 watt LEDs for an estimated lumens output of around 4,050....

  • Wiring Instructions for QH16CTS Optronics Halogen Utility Lamp
Due to the multitude of installation possibilities, Optronics doesn't provide installation instructions for their # QH16CTS Halogen Utility Light. This being said, I'd be happy to explain the electrical connections for you. The red power wire would attach to a 12-volt power source, and the lamp picks up its ground connection via it's attachment to metal that's in contact with the vehicle frame. If the lamp is mounted to a non metal surface, a ground jumper would need to be ran from the...

  • Does Switch Come with 55-Watt Halogen Area Utility Light # QH16CTS
The 55-Watt Halogen Area Utility Light # QH16CTS would require you to install a switch as it does not come with one. The part # D16740 would work well as a switch. The light grounds through the mounting hardware so you would need to run the switch through the power wire.

  • Fog Light Recommendation for a 2000 Honda Civic DX
The fog lights that we carry are not vehicle specific so you could use any of them on your 2000 Honda Civic. To find ones that will fit the area in which you need them you will need to compare the light dimensions to the dimensions of the area you want to place them. I see a lot of round fog lights on Civics. We also have some LED lights, # ALP77160, which are 3-5/8 inches long by 1 inch tall. It just all depends on the space available.

  • Can 12 Volt Circuit on a 2012 GMC Yukon 7-Way be Used to Power Two 55-Watt Halogen Utility Lights
The amperage draw of 2 of the 55-Watt Halogen Flood Beam Lights, # QH16CTS, is 9 amps. This should not be a problem for a 12 volt circuit on a 7-Pole. You can check the owners manual and/or the legend on the lid of the power distribution box for the fuse that powers the 12 volt circuit to see what it is rated for to be sure. The amperage rating for a factory 7-Way might also be listed in the vehicle owners manual. If connected to the 12 volt circuit from a trailer connector, the lights...

  • How To Choose The Correct Halogen Bulb For A 12V Ceiling Light System
Halogen bulbs come in 120 volts, 24 volts, and 12 volts so if you're placing it in a 12v light then you'll just want to make sure your 20 watt bulb is 12v. Higher voltage bulbs won't have enough power and will produce a dimmer light. There should be some indication on the packaging and/or bulb stating the voltage and wattage. I've attached a link to our 12v bulb selection for your convenience.

Instead we will need to determine the correct light based on the length. Since you mentioned your light is around 18" long a possible option is the LED Tail Light for RVs Over 80" Wide # DG52436VP which measures 18" long x 1-1/2" wide and has mounting holes that are 15-7/8" apart as shown in the...

  • Optronics 55-Watt Halogen Area Light QH16CTS Not Working with AC 110 Volt to 12 Volt DC Converter
This may seem obvious, but have you grounded the light? In the case of halogen light # QH16CTS the black wire is ground into the hardware and the red is the power wire. Sometimes AC to DC converters will not put out the correct voltage. Twelve volt systems are actually slightly higher than 12 volts, usually 12.8 volts. If your converter is not putting out the right voltage then that could be a problem too. You can check its output using a multimeter such as # PT89ZR. Also, and I am sure...

  • Best Rectangle Fog Light Recommendation for Use on 4Runner
If you are looking for the best option the part # QH16CTS is an option that could work but I would not list this as a best option. Instead for a similar option that is quite a bit more bright that would give you an incredible amount of light the part # XIL-OP210KIT would be what I would consider the best option. I know this kit is much more expensive but compare the two test course videos I attached to see the difference. It's a night and day difference (pun intended).
