Will these levelers work with tandem tires 4 inches apart?

Hey Ethel, thanks for reaching out. No, I wouldn't recommend the Valterra StayPut Curved Leveler and Chock # VAL48MB if your tandem tires are only 4" apart. The wedges on the StayPut system need enough room to fit between the tires and create the lifting action that levels the trailer. With only 4" of spacing, you're likely going to have trouble getting the wedges positioned correctly. The manufacturer recommends at least 5" between the tires for the levelers to work correctly.

With a tight 4" gap, you'd be better off looking at a curved leveler style setup like the Andersen Rapid Jack # AM3620. This doesn't rely on fitting a wedge between the tires so that narrow spacing won't be a problem.
