When you're towing a trailer or hauling a heavy bed load, rear-end sag can throw off your steering and braking. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,000 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and steady. They help your factory suspension carry the weight evenly so you stay comfortable and in control when the bed or hitch is loaded down.
Every load rides differently, and these microcellular urethane springs adjust as you go. With lighter loads they compress easily for a softer, smoother ride, and under heavy weight they stiffen up to handle the strain—compressing by as much as 80 percent for added support. The material acts like a shock absorber to soak up vibration and soften harsh impacts on rough roads.

When a curve leans you over or crosswinds push from the side, these springs work independently to keep each side planted. They help reduce body roll and sway so your truck stays stable through turns, uneven driveways, or when loads aren’t centered. That means steadier handling on highways and better control when maneuvering under load.
These springs are built to hold up through real work and weather. The closed-cell urethane resists oils, road salts, and UV rays while performing from -25°F to 200°F. They compress vertically with minimal side expansion so they fit safely in tight spaces without rubbing on nearby parts. Once installed, they’re completely maintenance-free—no air lines or pressure checks needed.
Installing extra rear support doesn’t have to be complicated. The SumoSprings Solo kit mounts directly in place of your factory bump stops with no drilling required. Two jounce-style springs are included, making it a straightforward upgrade for anyone adding dependable suspension support without extra hardware or adjustments.

I ultimately traded my truck off for a Ram 2500. As far as my sumo springs that were on my f-150?… Tgey do what they are designed forBUT… with a load, when ya hit a dip or hole, they bottom out and it feels like it’s breaking your back. The truth is, if you need any type of helper springs… you need a bigger truck.
