When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Timbren front wheel BES brake upgrade kit. Now this kit has been designed to fit your 2019 to current Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500s with the four piston calipers. And then your 2022 Silverado and Sierra 1500, the LTD unlimited, again with the four piston calipers. Now on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you.
And our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now upgrading your suspension is going to help improve your ride quality. It's gonna help reduce that sag when you're hauling or towing heavy trailers. And it's gonna make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling. However, that will not help reduce the extra workload that's being placed on your factory brakes.
So if you're here looking at these brakes, you probably know that your truck feels like it's taking longer to stop with those heavy loads or those heavy trailers. Maybe your brakes are wearing out faster than you expected them to, or maybe that added weight is making your braking feel less confident. That's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck that stronger, more consistent braking power when it's carrying or towing those heavier loads. These low metallic onyx bike brake pads are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing.
So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking performance on every road trip. On the other side here, we have these multi-layered rubber shims. And on your screen, I'm going to pop up a photo there showing you a close up of the construction, the multi-layered construction of one of those shims. And then that other photo is just showing you a better detail of the construction of the brake pad with the shim pulled off. So those shims are going to help reduce vibration.
It's going to keep brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance itself. So these positive molded brake pads paired with these precision balance rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM style vented rotors. They're going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce that brake fade when towing. These are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they're going to feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, veins, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating most commonly used on OEM parts. The coating's also going to help protect the rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. It's going to help keep your brakes looking cleaner between surfaces without affecting braking performance. The pads, by the way, if you see those blue stripes there, that's the bed end coating. So that's going to help that, that coating's actually going to transfer to these rotors to protect it during the first stop. So that's going to allow you to enjoy that consistent braking performance sooner after installation. This kit includes everything that you see here. Insulation is going to be relatively straightforward, but maybe you're not too excited about doing the installation yourself. If that's the case, again, take a look at this product page. Specifically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. So if you've already upgraded the suspension on your truck and you're enjoying that smoother, more controlled ride, this brake kit is going to compliment that upgrade, giving your truck the stopping power and the confidence that you need to better handle that extra weight of towing or hauling. Together, they're going to help give you a more safe, more capable towing setup and experience. I think it's going to wrap up our look today. Again, they call me Andy, thank you for joining me.
