Hey Bob, thanks for reaching out. I'd say yes, the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2609 can be installed in your driveway as long as you have the proper tools, equipment and know-how. Having a lift helps but it isn't required. All you'll need is your tools (sockets, torque wrench ect...), a jack and jack stands.

Most people install the brackets and air springs with the truck sitting on jack stands, then route the air lines to a convenient inflation point near the rear bumper.

The biggest challenges are usually working in tight spaces above your head, around the suspension and taking your time routing the air lines away from heat sources and moving parts. If you're comfortable doing basic suspension work, I'd call this a very manageable driveway project that typically takes a few hours. Just make sure to follow the torque specs and check the air line connections for leaks before you're done.

yes I had a 2022 3500hd Duramax did a lot of work in my driveway. Worked with Banks as a tester on their Derringer HO and Idash pro installed exhaust cat back did the differential rear cover, trans pan, and oil pan all from Banks. grew up around cars my dad owned one of the first garages and automotive machine in Las Vegas. Sold my Duramax now playing with my chevy 1500. Thanks for responding

@BobE Oh nice! I was just in Vegas 2 summers ago. Nice town! Sounds like you should have a fairly easy go of the air bag install then. Take a look at this install video. Should save you some time and guesswork:

Yes I have four different vehicles myself in my garage in my shop. Very easy

On my GMC Denaili a lot of stuff had to come off to get them insttalled.

Yes. They can be installed in the driveway. It’s easier if you remove the spare tire and the heat shield. Jack the truck up slightly from the trailer hitch for easier access. Everything can be installed from the rear of the axle.
