Hey Cody, thanks for reaching out. We do have air bag kits that will work on your 2026 Chevy 1500. Then you can use a spacer to compensate for the lift. Here is what I recommend:

- Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2609

- Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - 2" Spacers - Qty 2 # F2366

That combination is what brings the bags back to the correct height so they aren’t overextended at ride height. Even with a 3-inch lift, this is the most common and proven setup, since most lift kits don’t result in a full 3 inches of added axle-to-frame distance.

These are 5,000 lb capacity air bags and they will allow you to fine tune your suspension and level your ride whenever you are towing.

I also recommend adding an onboard compressor, and for that I recommend the following:

- Firestone Air Command Heavy Duty Air Compressor - Remote and Smartphone App - Single Path # F56VV

What kind of trailer will you be hauling?

I got the kit and put it on my 2022 gmc sierra, it doesnt change the ride, and it has worked great for me. I will definitely put them on my next truck

I bought my 2024 Silverado High Country new. The 6.2 with 10 speed has plenty of power to handle my 20ft enclosed car hauler but the first thing I noticed was an extremely soft rear suspension. I reached out to E Trailer for a solution. I needed a pair of bags to work with the adaptive ride system plus I wanted a simple air pump system (no tank) to air the bags. Also my truck is not raised so did not need the spacers. My local semi shop did a great job of installing everything and hiding everything. The bag kit was a perfect fit, they mounted the compressor on the right side behind the cab on the frame and then hid the gauge control inside the center console. I don't tow often but really like the added stability provided by the bag system. I set the controls to maintain 10 lbs of air when empty to extend the life of the bags. When loaded i just adjust the pressure until the truck and trailer are level. I'm 81 and this is probably my last new truck so I wanted it to work right. Good luck. Gary M

@GaryM Thanks for sharing that, Gary. Sounds like you set that truck up exactly the right way. The adaptive ride on those High Country trucks is comfortable unloaded, but it definitely benefits from air bags once you put a trailer behind it. I like how you’re running a baseline 10 psi empty and just dialing it in when loaded, that’s a good call. It’s also great to hear your shop took the time to mount everything clean and keep the install hidden, that makes a big difference long-term. I appreciate you taking the time to write all that up, and I’m glad the setup is giving you the stability you were looking for. Any cool trips planned once the weather clears up?

Hey Cody, I put these on my 2025 GMC HD 3500 and they have greatly improved the already good towing performance. Stiffened up the ride towing my 5th wheel with only 80 lbs psi. I did buy a separate T fitting for the airlines to be combined for equal pressure and single fill which I drilled into the plastic next to my rear license plate. Hope this helps.

@WayneB Hey Cody, thanks for sharing! Glad to hear the air bags are working out. That's a good call with adding the T-fitting. For any 5th wheel or bumper pull you want equal pressure in both bags. The only time I ever recommend running a dual path setup is for truck with constant loads in the bed that might be slightly uneven like a truck bed camper or work truck. Thanks again for the feedback! It definitely helps!
