When you’re pulling heavy weight across long stretches of highway, this 215/75R17.5 Provider radial tire and 17-1/2" steel wheel setup is built for the job. With a 16-ply rating and a 4,540-lb max load at 123 psi, it handles real working loads with confidence. The radial construction uses double steel belts and double polyester cords to reduce heat buildup and rolling resistance, giving you better tread life and a smoother ride at highway speeds up to 81 mph (speed rating M).
This assembly’s ±5.59" offset makes it versatile for dual setups. It’s designed to serve as either the inner or outer wheel in a dually configuration, keeping the tires properly spaced and aligned. The hub-piloted design centers on the hub using flange nuts (sold separately), giving a solid, balanced mount you can trust under heavy loads.
Salt air, wet roads, and long miles aren’t a problem thanks to the wheel’s 3-step corrosion-resistant finish. Each steel wheel is treated with a zinc phosphate bath, followed by an e-coat acrylic primer, then finished with baked-on DuPont silver powder paint on both sides. The result is a tough surface that resists chips and rust while keeping its clean, polished look over time.
Provider radials go through an automotive-grade bake test to make sure the rubber compound stays durable even after seasons of use. Nylon tread-firming overlays help prevent tread separation, and tread depth bars make it easy to see wear at a glance. When it’s time for extra mileage, the tread is regroovable where federal and state laws allow—helping you get every mile out of the tire without sacrificing safety or performance.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the Provider 215/75R/17.5 radial tire in a load range H, on this 17 and a half inch silver dual wheel, with the eight on 275 millimeter bolt pattern. This tire and wheel assembly is designed for use on dually trucks, buses and trailers. The wheel offset will allow this assembly to be used as either an inner, or an outer wheel of a dual wheel set up. This is a heavy duty steel wheel, has the four hand holds right here. It's sturdy, corrosion resistant. The wheel does go through a three step finishing process, which will include a zinc phosphate bath, and eco-primer, and then a silver powder coat on both sides of the wheel.
If you notice on the center disc of the wheel, this spun form from fine grain steel, and it's welded into place for strength and durability. Now, this is a hub-piloted wheel, so it does require the use of flange nuts for installation. We do sell those separately on our website. This is a radial tire that's mounted on it, this is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester chords for a long life. It's great for highway use. They do also use a tread, nylon tread forming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation.
And this treat is re-grooveable, on the larger tires like this, they will be stamped 're-grooveable," and basically what that means is for additional mileage, you could groove a deeper tread in there, but you do need to check with your local laws, because federal and state laws may apply. This tire is bake tested to ensure that the rubber holds up over time. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications, and it does exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standard.A few specs on this, starting with the wheel. The diameter on the wheel is 17 and a half inch diameter, the width on just the wheel is six and three-quarter inches wide. The bolt patter on this wheel is an eight on 275 millimeters.
Does use a lug nut size, as we mentioned, a flange nut size of five-eights by 18. Wheel capacity, or the weight capacity on just the wheel is 5675 pounds, and the pilot hole diameter, which is this large hole here on the hub-piloted wheel, this opening is 8.7 inches. Does have an offset of 5.59 inches, and as we mentioned, it can be used as either an inner or an outer wheel. That offset will either be a positive 5.59, or a negative 5.59. The tire size, which will be stamped on here is 215/75R/17.5, the R means it's a radial design tire.It does have a section width of 8.3 inches.
Overall diameter from the bottom to the very top when it's inflated, is 30.2. this tire is a load range H, which means is a 16 fly rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity when using a dual tire application of 4540 pounds. Add 123 PSI, and the last thing I do want to mention is all the tires are now coming through a speed rating. If you look right after the size, there's two numbers that are the load index, and then the letter M. speed rating they always label by a letter designation, so speed rating M would mean this is an 81 mile per hour rated tire. That should do it for the review on the Provider 215/75R/17.5 radial tire in a load range H, on a 17 and a half inch silver dual wheel, with the eight on 275 millimeter bolt patter.
