• Does it Matter Which Way a Double-Eye Trailer Leaf Spring Faces
  If they are double-eye leaf springs, it should not matter which way they are facing. But if they are slipper springs, the eye end is at the front and the slipper is at the back.   I would need to know the axle capacities to be sure but I can venture an educated guess. The only tandem axle double-eye leaf spring hanger kit we have that includes 8 inch equalizers is # APT1. With this kit, the center of the forward hanger to the center of the rear hanger would be 29-1/2 inches. It is the same from the center hanger to the rear hanger on center.   The minimum distance between side wall of the tire and and trailer frame depends on the trailer, you definitely don't want the tire and the trailer to touch so 2" of clearance is a safe distance however you may be able to get away with less as long as they do not touch. The recommended clearance between the top of the tire and the fender is 3-4 inches when the suspension is fully compressed to accommodate for suspension travel.

• Are the Bushings Included in the APT1 Tandem-Axle Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs?
  The bushings on the 2 long equalizers are included in the # APT1 kit, but the rest of the bushings will typically come included with the leaf springs that are not included in this kit. Which ones you will need to purchase would depend on the diameter sized hole in your leaf spring, if it does not already accommodate the 3/4 inch diameter of the bolts included into this kit.   Thank you for all of the info! Based on what you told me and the pictures you sent in separately I believe I know what you need. The brakes you need are the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA which measure 10" x 2-1/4" and have a 4 bolt flange mounting pattern. I also recommend replacing your hub and drum assemblies as well. For this the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-545-35-K should work but you will want to verify that your trailer currently uses inner bearing # L68149...

  We do have replacement parts for your trailer. Starting with the equalizer we have the # TREQR89. It sounds like you have 3-1/8" shackle straps so I recommend the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR76ZR. This comes with wet bolts, bronze bushings, and 1/2" thick shackle straps. I believe you're talking about hangers when you gave those shackle dimensions. The closest we have to your front and rear are the # 115918 which are 2-3/8" tall. The closest thing we have to 6-3/4" is the 5-7/16"...
