Question:
For my trailer, I am looking for basic functionality. I just need brake and turn signals. Can a clear lens light be used for this? Or do I need a red lens. Thanks

In regards to using a trailer tail lights with clear lens like part # STL88RCB or red lens like part # STL78RB, this will come down to local laws and regulations concerning trailer tail lights. There are certain areas where using a trailer tail light with clear lens is illegal but this is not true for all areas so you will need to check ahead. That said, you would most likely not run into any trouble using either although the red lens is much more common.
