Question:

Looking for the brightest taillights surface mount for utility trailer turn signel function will not be used in this application only taillights and brakes lights will be functioning at all times going down the road day and night. noticed you have an oval shape light that has a clear face On it what is it like

There are a number of bright options for surface-mounted trailer tail lights, though all will be designed as brake, tail light and turn signals (you do not have to wire the turn signals and can simply tie that wire off on the light).

The brightest surface-mount tail light is going to be the 80 diode LED Trailer Tail Light w/ Reflector # DG52720PB, as you can see by the accompanying photo of the linked video review I added which shows its brightness.

There are two oval shape lights that have a clear face, the 22 diode GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light # STL178RCCFPB
and the 10 diode Optronics LED Trailer Tail Light # STL88RCB. These are each solid lights that will do a fine job but won't be the brightest lights, which is what you mentioned you were seeking.
