Does Installing Trailer Hitch Receiver on 2018 Ford Escape Require Car to be Elevated
Question:
Hi, I have a Ford Escape 2018 titanium. I want to check what do I need to have to install this hitch. Can the installation be done with the car on the ground or it is need to be elevated? Thanks

It is not a requirement to have your 2018 Ford Escape elevated in order to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98866.
It can help but it is certainly not required; most people do not elevate their vehicles during the installation of a hitch. I have added a link to a video install of this hitch on a 2018 Escape, as well as the directions, which should also be helpful.
Additionally, if you are looking to do some towing with your Escape and do not have the factory tow package the correct wiring harness is the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM40524.
