Question:
I need a hitch for a 2008 Chevy Express G3500 Cutaway van. It has a Knapheide KUV service box on it. Most of the hitches online specify Full size Express van except cutaway. Any ideas on what I might get to fit it? Thanks.

Even though our fit guide says that the available trailer hitch receivers for a 2008 Chevrolet Express Van fit the full-size version, if your cutaway has the same frame dimensions then you should have no problems installing one of the hitch receiver options that we have listed on our site.
To determine whether a hitch receiver will fit or not you will simply need to look at the dimensions for the installation bolt holes on the hitch receiver and match them up on your frame. I recommend looking at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15320 which is a Class V trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver. I have attached a picture of the bolt hole locations that you can use to match up with the frame on your Express Van Cutaway.
If you will be using the hitch receiver to tow then you will also need a ball mount, hitch ball, and some vehicle trailer wiring.
One of the most popular ball mounts for a 2008 Chevy Express Van is the Curt # C45030 which has a 1 inch Rise and a 2 inch Drop, but you will want to check out the attached article about ball mounts to ensure that this item has the correct Rise/Drop for your application. You will also need a Pin and Clip # PC3 to secure the ball mount to your receiver. For a 1-7/8 inch diameter hitch ball use # 19260 and for a 2 inch hitch ball use # 63845.
For vehicle wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118392 which will give you a 4-Pole connector at the rear of your Express Van.
I have attached some installation and demonstration videos for you to check out as well.
