This Curt trailer hitch receiver makes it easy to haul small trailers or mount accessories without overloading your setup. Rated for up to 2,000 lbs gross trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight, it’s built for light towing jobs like pulling a small camper or utility trailer. The 1-1/4" receiver opening works with a wide range of ball mounts, bike racks, and cargo carriers designed for Class I hitches.
The hitch is custom-fit and designed to line up precisely with existing mounting points on your vehicle. It bolts into place—no welding required—and comes with a full hardware kit and instructions. That means you can handle the install in your driveway using basic tools. The sturdy square-tube design keeps everything aligned and secure once it’s mounted.
This hitch is made from fully welded steel for maximum strength you can count on every day. The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base layer, giving it superior rust resistance against road grime and weather. The finish also keeps it looking sharp long after installation, even with frequent use.
With a 1-1/4" receiver and Class I rating, this hitch gives you more ways to carry gear when space inside the vehicle runs out. Add a bike rack for weekend rides or a storage platform for longer trips—either way, you’ll free up interior room while keeping your load stable and secure.

Hey Trever. Before you cut into your bumper, I want to confirm the model of your vehicle. This hitch is for the Hatchback ST model. The ST model usually has the exhaust center of the bumper so the hitch would sit above it. We do have other hitches that would sit lower but I need to confirm what model your Focus is to make sure.

I contacted the manufacturer and Curt says they redesigned the hitch to another 1/4 of an inch so it does not rub the bumper. It should not touch the bumper with the new design. If it does touch the bumper it will be minimal and easy to flex up a bit or trim a 1/4 of an inch so that it doesnt touch.
