Expert Reply:
The maximum width tire that will work with the Curt 4 Bike Platform Rack # C18087-FB is 4.88" inches.
If you need a compatible hitch on your 2014 Ford Focus that works with the Trail Rider, the fitments depend on what kind of model of Focus you have. For different models, I recommend the following parts:
- EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7237 (for Electric model)
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11158 (for hatchback - excluding XT and sedan models)
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit # C11431 (for hatchback - XT models)
The EcoHitch and Draw-Tite receivers include a drill-free installation. The Curt receiver does require some drilling. All three of these options come with all hardware required for installation.
