Wiring a trailer can be tricky if you have to cut into factory wires, but this harness skips all that. The Curt T-Connector plugs directly into your vehicle’s tail light assemblies to give you a clean 4-flat connector. No splicing, no wire chasing—just plug it in and it’s ready to go.
Many trailers draw more power than your tail light circuits can handle, but the integrated powered converter solves that. It uses a dedicated power wire that runs to the vehicle battery so the trailer lights get their power without overloading your factory system. That setup keeps your vehicle wiring safe from shorts or overloads.
Once installed, you get a standard 4-pole flat connector for your trailer’s running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. It’s the simple, reliable hookup used on most small and mid-size trailers—ready for towing right away.
The harness tucks in behind the tail light housings for a neat, hidden setup. The result is a factory-looking install with only the 4-flat plug visible when you’re ready to tow and out of sight when you’re not.

Hey Wade! Thanks for sharing. It is always best and safest to rout a power wire up to the battery. Sometimes it hard to know if open and unused circuits will be able to handle what a trailer is needing when hooked up.

Both the hitch and the wiring harness are fine. I had trouble connecting the wiring harness because I did not pay close enough attention to the pictures in the instructions.

It sounds like you might have a weak ground. Make sure all your ground connections on the trailer and where the converter box grounds to the tow vehicle are securely made to bare, clean metal. if that doesn't fix the issue, let me know.
