Video Transcript for Review of the DeeZee Specialty Series Underbody Tool Box

Today we're going to be taking a look at the DZ Specialty Series Under Body Tool Box. This is going to be constructed from a corrosion proof 12 gauge steel construction. As you can see, it's a rectangular design, under body style. It's going to offer convenient under bed storage for your flat bed pickup, dump truck, or trailer, and it's going to feature a single drop down door that opens from top to bottom, which is going to provide easy access to whatever it is that you have inside the box. I do want to go ahead and open it, so it's got the nice T handle here. Turn it, and the door will drop. I do want to point out that it has a nice sealer that goes around the opening to keep out dirt and moisture.

You're going to have a stainless steel locking T handle latch, that deters theft. It does come with two keys that are keyed alike, so either key will work for that lock. With it open, you can see you don't have to support it. It's got these nice strong durable cables here, that keeps the door in the open position without over extending, and you've got a nice large opening. If we take a measurement of the opening, going from side to side first, that opening is going to measure about 31 and a quarter, to 31 and a half inches. Up and down, the opening is going to measure about 13 and a quarter.

So a nice large opening is going to give you access to easily get stuff in and out of the box. To lock it, all you have to do is shut the door, close the latch, push it down, and simply put a key in, and move it to the locked position. All you stuff is going to be secured inside the box. When it comes to your installation, pretty simple installation. It's designed to mount to your truck or trailer using a universal mounting kit, part number DZDB-2502. It's sold separately.

It's available here at eTrailer.com. But I also want to mention that you may be able to bolt the box directly to some cross members or framing, depending on your application. In that case, drilling will be required, and hardware is not included. That's kind of a customized installation. But that's going to be dependent on your application. Again, the unit is a 12 gauge steel construction.

It's going to feature a really nice black powder coated finish. It's going to last a long time. Really nice design to it. Gives the box a great look, and it's going to do a great job at resisting rusting corrosion. I also want to mention, and it's going to be hard to see, but down here, we're going to have two hinges. You're going to have a hinge on this side, and same point on the other side. On the edge of that hinge, there's going to be a grease zerk fitting. One right here, and one right here. That does allow for pretty easy maintenance. You're going to attack a grease gun to there, pump in the grease, and lubricate those hinges pretty easily. Again, it designed for flat bed trucks, dump trucks, and trailers. Taking a look at the overall dimensions, we'll go from side to side first. It's going to measure 36 inches. The depth, just measuring the main body, that's going to be about 18 to 18 and one-eight of an inch. If we extend it out to that door right here, if we include the door, we're looking at something closer to 19 and seven-eights, to 20 inches. Then the height, that's going to be right around 18 inches as well. That's going to offer 6.75 cubic feet of space, that's internal. Again, overall, nice durable construction, and it is designed for flat bed trucks, dump trucks, and trailers. That's going to do it for today's look at the DZ Specialty Series Under Body Tool Box.
