Perfect fit and easy to install

Easy install and IT FIT.

by:

When I tried to install it, I found that on one side the drill holes didn't match with the car frame, so is very disappointing, I need to know if you are going to give me my money back

by:

High quality materials and craftsmanship throughout make this tow hitch the best value around. Incredibly easy to install and the fit was perfect. The craftsmanship ensures 100% engagement of the mating surfaces and does not rely on torquing of the mounting bolts to seat hitch to the frame. Highly recommend.

Fast delivery. I am replacing the 11 yr old rusted out hitch receiver on my MDX. The powder coat finish is much nicer than the painted finish that WAS on the old one. I only haul bikes with a platform rack. Install was straight forward once getting the old one off.

by:

Hitch receiver is very well built. Looks top quality. As far as the installation it was much more time consuming than I originally anticipated. It was next to impossible to get my hands and a stubby ratchet between the rear bumper and the cross members of the hitch receiver. This is due to Acuras placement of the mounting inserts. So it was turning the ratchet just a few degrees at a time because of the extremely limited space. Once installed everything looks great.

by:

This the second trailer hitch I have bought from the folks at etrailer. I love the price and shipping is super fast. the product is top notch, made with thick walled tubing and the welds are great. This hitch is a bolt on product, and very easy to install. I will buy from this company again, when I need another hitch or other products. I highly recommend buying from etrailer, for you trailer related needs. Thank you all for the great product and help.

by:

Perfect fit, all parts are high quality. Good installation instructions, except that for me, the time estimate was optimistic -- it was a challenge to remove muffler suspension and heat shields in a confined space -- it would have been a lot easier with a vehicle lift and the room for one or two people to work on it from a standing position! Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the result, and very pleased with the knowledgeable and courteous customer service and support from etrailer.

The bolt size that comes with the Curt hitch part # 13354 is M14 - 1.5 x 35. The size thread tap you'd need (if that is what you are looking for) would then be the M14-1.5.

  • What Trailer Hitch is the Right one for My 2008 Acura MDX? Do I Really Need to Remove the Spare?
Hello Randy, Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13354 is the correct one for you 2008 Acura MDX. As for the spare tire, the # 13354 will only work with a mini spare it will not fit with a full spare tire. If you do have a full size spare, I suggest reaching out to your local Acura dealership about getting a mini spare. If you needed some wiring for some light towing, or a hitch mounted accessory you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness...

  • Hitch Option For 2012 Acura MDX With Full Size Spare Tire
There are two hitch options for your vehicle. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Part # 13354, and the Draw-Tite Max Part # 75614. I have contacted technical departments from both manufacturers to see which option will work with your 2012 Acura MDX with a full size spare. Curt stated that their hitch does NOT fit with a full size spare. Draw-Tite states that their hitch is only confirmed to fit with T165/80/D17 size spare tire. If your spare tire exceeds that size, both hitches can still mount...

  • Differences Between Curt and Draw Tite Hitch for 2011 Acura MDX
Essentially the two hitches you referenced are the same design hitch made by two different manufacturers. The Curt part # 13354 and the Draw Tite # 75614 are both confirmed fits for your 2011 Acura MDX and would work well. The advantage the Curt has is it's made in the USA and is priced better. It would be what I would recommend for you.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring for 2012 Acura MDX
Thanks so much for your repeat business! Starting with the trailer hitch itself, the Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # 13354 that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2012 Acura MDX and will work great. The hitch is custom-fit for the vehicle, so it will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video on your Acura that you can use for reference. Then for a custom-fit wiring harness, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle...

  • Trailer Hitch for 2011 Acura MDX that Allows Full Sized Spare to be Kept
For a Curt hitch confirmed to fit your 2011 Acura MDX that allows you to keep the full size spare tire you would want the part # 13354. The spare would need to get removed during the install process but can be reinstalled once the hitch is fully installed. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well.

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatible with Spare Tire on 2008 Acura MDX
I recommend checking the spare because often they appear to be full size until removed. If you have the standard "mini" spare which is a thinner tire when compared to the rear tire then the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 13354 is my recommendation. I've attached a photo of the "mini" spare with the hitch installed for reference. There is not a trailer hitch receiver fit if you have a full size spare tire. This is rare, but if you do have the full size the...

  • Will The Hitch From A 2012 Acura MDX Fit A 2023 Model And If Not What Will
We do have a trailer hitch that will fit your 2023 Acura MDX. Although the Curt # 13354 hitch from your 2012 MDX will not fit the 2023 models. For your 2023 I recommend the Curt class 3 hitch # C22HR. This will be fairly easy to install as far as hitches go. It is really just 3 bolts on each side and you are done. You will want to remove the spare tire temporarily to free up space during install. Please note that while the mini spare tire will still fit underneath with the hitch installed,...

  • Vehicle/Hitch Towing Capacity of 2010 Acura MDX
According to the owner's manual, your 2010 Acura MDX has a 5000 lb towing capacity with two occupants. The towing capacity decreases approximately 250 lbs for each additional occupant after two. As long as the as-towed weight of the trailer doesn't exceed the capacity of the vehicle or the hitch (whichever is less), you'll be fine. I'd also recommend looking at the capacity sticker on your current hitch, it's fairly common for a hitch to list two different capacities, one for towing,...

  • Spare Tire Installation After the Curt Hitch # 13354 is Installed on a 2011 Acura MDX
It sounds to me like you are just missing one small step for proper installation of the spare tire with the Curt hitch installed on your 2011 Acura MDX. Typically, with the hitch installed you will need to tilt the rearward part of the spare tire up and guide it over the top of the hitch as you raise it on the spare tire winch. This allows the tire to mount in its original location, snug to the vehicle under body.. If this procedure does not work for you, send me a photo, I will be glad...

The Thule Hitching Post Pro Folding/Tilting 4 Bike Rack # TH934XTR that you referenced easily slips into any 1-1/4-inch or 2-inch hitch receiver. No professional assistance is needed. The Class III hitches offered for your Acura are the larger-capacity 2-inch size that have a substantial 400-lb tongue weight rating (tongue weight is downward force on the hitch) that should be plenty for your rack and 4 loaded bikes. If your MDX does not have a hitch installed you can choose one of those...

  • Recommended Bike Rack for 2007 Acura MDX
To carry a pair of mountain bikes on your 2007 Acura MDX you have a couple options. The best one is going to be a hitch-mounted rack because they offer the most protection for your bikes, are easy to load and unload, and offer the ability to access your rear cargo area. Please keep in mind that you would not be able to install a hitch if your MDX has a full-sized spare tire under the vehicle, though a mini spare tire would allow a hitch to be installed. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2009 Acura MDX
I would recommend you get a supplemental transmission cooler for your vehicle if you plan on towing. The factory transmission cooler is often adequate at best for non-towing situations, so a supplemental cooler would greatly help extend the life of your transmission. Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific, you will need to measure the area in front of your radiator to determine what size cooler will fit and pick the one with those dimensions. If you can fit it, I would recommend...
