Wow! I am so impressed with your company. Found exactly what I needed. Could not believe it arrived so quickly. Both items are very good quality. I will definitely recommend Etrailer to others. Thanks 340455

Bought this to replace the stock hitch lock pin that came with my Kuat Sherpa bike rack. Only issue i'm having is that it fits into my hidden hitch receiver and it fits into my Sherpa rack but when the rack is installed in the hitch I can't get the pin to go through. Will play with it a bit more, but I hope I won't have to drill anything out. 131763

The sherpa is exactly why I interested in this lock. Did you get it to work?

Havent tried any other ways to get the master lock to work with my Kuat Sherpa rack, the only way I see to get it to fit is to drill it out and Im not drilling out the rack or receiver. So using the stock pin.

Thanks for responding to Jason's question. The Kuat Sherpa does use a specialized offset pin that is incorporated into their anti-rattle system. So the only the Kuat lock is compatible with the Sherpa. Kari you are correct that you do not want to drill out either the lock or the hitch, and the original pin is the way to go.

Found Etrailer.com thru a web search and they beat out everyone else hands down. Not only in price but in selection, quality and service. I recently put a 3" lift kit on my Jeep Cherokee and I needed to get a hitch that would drop down lower. I was able to get exactly what I was looking for and it was delivered very quickly. Would I use Etrailer.com again - You Bet! 102562

Good quality but I wish it were of a more snug fit. Jiggles around and can be heard in cabin when vehicle hits bumps. I secured the black bolt end with electrical tape to the hitch bar until I figure out something better. Does the trick though. But one would have to retape every time lock bolt is removed. Not a big deal. 161395

Great little lock. The lock itself is of high quality, but the rubber cap is pretty worthless. Doesn't stay on at all. Considering the lock is hanging face down under the car it'd be nice for keeping out road grime. 852202

Ask the Experts about this Master Lock Trailer Hitch Lock

  • Hitch Lock for 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch
The issue is that threaded locks like the HitchMate # HE6001 are specific to certain accessories; in this case the HitchMate is certain Advantage bike racks. You never mentioned if you have a 1-1/4" or 2" receiver but it sounds like the 5/8" diameter the bolts is the problem from what I can gather, as opposed to the length, which would indicate you have a 1-1/4" receiver. We do not carry Solvit so there is no guarantee a standard lock will work but the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver...

  • Trailer Hitch and Hitch Adapter Recommendation for 2019 Buick Encore Carrying Kuat NV
Yes, you would want to use an anti-rattle for the 1-1/4 inch portion of the adapter. For that the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch part # RM-061-125 would work well. It uses a U-bolt to hold the adapter tight to the hitch tube.

  • Can a 1-1/4 - 2 Adapter be Used to Safely Haul a Cargo Carrier with a 2015 Toyota Corolla
The concept of a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD is a good idea in theory but the problem with using one of those with a 1-1/4" hitch, like part # C11265 or # 24913 for your 2015 Toyota Corolla, is that it will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs. If you were to use all of this for the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18153 you would only...

  • Can I Tow A Small Trailer With Draw-Tite Hitch On 2017 Mazda 6
Yes, the Draw-Tite Class I receiver part # 24908 is rated for up to 200 lbs of tongue weight so it supports the weight of your small trailer and gear. Tongue weight is normally 10-15% of the loaded trailer weight and it sounds like your tongue weight could be around 60 lbs at the max. As long as you do not exceed the 200 lb tongue weight capacity the Draw-Tite can support it. However, I was able to find your owner's manual as well and it lists many different configurations that depends...

  • Is There A Motorcycle Carrier That Will Fit A 1-1/4 Inch Trailer Hitch?
Since you have a small trail bike that only weighs 112 lbs, you will be able to use a cargo carrier with your hitch and stay within the tongue weight capacity rating of a Class I trailer hitch for a 2014 Kia Soul. This is my recommendation because there is not a motorcyle carrier for Class I trailer hitches due to their tongue capacity rating.
