Question:
So sorry I recently asked a question about transporting a kayack and a sup on a factory roof rack for a 2014 kia soul. I looked up the weight capacity on the box and it says up to 165 lbs. Can I still transport both items on the crossbars or do you still suggest a trailer??

So there is a way that is going to allow you to transport your kayaks and SUP with your 2014 Kia Soul, but the issue is the factory roof rack, so the only option is going to be a kayak trailer. There simply isn't any type of load assist that is going to work with your factory rack, and there's no way to carry 98 lbs of SUP/Kayak on a rack that has a 100 lb capacity - any carrier is going to overextend the rack. So your only option truly is a trailer, and here are the parts you'll need:
- Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24915
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118637
- Ball Mount # 3593 and 2" Hitch Ball # 19258
- Malone MicroSport Trailer # # MPG460G
- Thule DockGrip Kayak and SUP Carrier with Tie-Downs # TH895
- Swagman Contour Rooftop Kayak Carrier with Tie Downs # S65148
