Question:

Hi. I have a 2015 Mitsubishi lancer gt and looking to see if I have to drill hole to install your hitch. Looking a your instructions it looks like I would on the passenger side. Thank you in advance.

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # 24885 is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer GT as long as you don't have the dual exhaust. There is no drilling required to install this hitch. The installation instructions state you will need a jig saw, cut-off wheel, or die grinder for enlarging the hole already present in the frame for the carriage bolt and block on the passenger side.

I've attached the installation details which state this as well as give you the step by step directions.

If you will be using this hitch for light towing, I recommend ball mount # 3593 along with a hitch ball like # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # 19258 for a 2 inch diameter ball. This ball mount can be used in the drop or rise position as needed for your trailer and comes with the hitch pin and clip. For trailer wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118538 which easily installs behind your tail lights to the factory wiring and then connects to the vehicle battery for power. I've attached an article to assist with routing that power wire.

I have an aftermarket axle-back exhaust on my 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer GT, will this clear the increased muffler size? I still have my stock muffler just in case I have to find out the hard way for myself...

That's really hard for me to say because I'm not sure just how much bigger the aftermarket exhaust is over the stock unit. I can say that it doesn't look like the Draw-Tite # 24885 comes terribly close to the factory exhaust so unless there's a significant difference I don't expert there to be an issue.
