A trailer that sways or drifts under load is no fun to tow. This 7,000-lb Dexter axle beam uses a 3" diameter round steel tube that’s built strong and precisely bent for zero camber angle. That design keeps the tires flat on the pavement, giving you even tread contact and confident, straight-line stability mile after mile.
Keeping bearings greased shouldn’t mean tearing down the whole hub. Each straight E-Z Lube spindle includes a zerk fitting on the end, so grease flows through to both the inner and outer bearings when you use a standard grease gun. Just pump in fresh lubricant until you see the old grease pushed out—clean, simple, and ready to roll.
This axle comes complete with the spring seats, brake flanges, and spindles already welded in place for solid alignment and strength. The underslung spring seat design mounts leaf springs under the axle, giving a lower deck height that makes loading and unloading easier while maintaining stable ride control under heavy cargo.
Getting an axle to fit right matters for balance and tracking. This beam measures exactly 94" from hub face to hub face and 79" from spring center to spring center, providing a reliable foundation for fabricating or replacing a 7K suspension setup. That’s pretty incredible, David. When you think about it, the etrailer family started this business back in the 1880s. Folks would bring their broken wagons to Joseph so he could help get them back on the road. Fast forward about 146 years, and we’re still doing the same thing, helping people find the parts they need to keep moving. The only difference is the way we do it. Normally, when replacing an axle with a new one you will want to the same style. You will see in the description that this one doesnt provide any or lift. Looking at the old axles you have you will note the difference in the spindles. You will be able to tell whether you want one with rise or as opposed to just straight like this one.
