Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Great product and fantastic service too. I have only tried on the chains and have not driven in them yet but the case and quality of the items were very good and they were very cheap too. After my order they contacted me because the items were still on route to their warehouse and could not be distributed however they kept me in the loop all the way and provided a tracking number too. They came in just over a week so considering that they had a delay on receiving the item at their end and it had to cross east to west coast plus free delivery thrown in I was very impressed with the service I received. Apologies but can't comment on the actual chains as I haven't used them in anger yet however they were really easy to fit without the instructions, takes about a minute and all the different parts are colour coded. The Alloy chains are rust preventative but they feel heavy duty with a good all round pattern for extra forward and leeway grip, not a tacky or cheap feeling product, the case is pretty heavy when packed away so quite happy so far. Hope this helps.

2018 Toyota Highlander

Great product and excellent service. I originally ordered a chain from Konig and chose expedited shipping because I needed them to arrive in time for an upcoming trip to the Sierras. It was on a Sunday afternoon and within an hour I received a call from someone at etrailer letting me know that the product I had ordered was on back order and suggested this Titan model which was in stock (and less expensive!). They shipped the next day and I received them in time.
I did use them on my 2018 Highlander on the trip. They installed easily, fit well and the traction was excellent even when driving up hills on local Tahoe roads in a major snowstorm. Highly recommended.

It is great to receive a product that is exactly what it is advertised as. We used this on a recent trip to WV. The community we stayed in required tire chains. We were in compliance and were able to easily and safely navigate the slippery ice/snow up the hill with these bad boys in our FWD vehicle. The installation video was a huge help. We were able to install the chains with two people in about 5 minutes on our first try.

We also were very pleased with how quickly the product came to our home (2 days) after submitting an order. Also, love the case that holds the tire chains.

The stiff inner cable and a rubber tensioner makes instalation easy when I practiced putting them on. The carrying case is nice to keep everything ready until use. The chains are made for a few tire sizes, so I only used one of two tensioning loops attached to the chains. Etrailer's shipping was lightning fast and arrived before promised arrival date. Very happy with the transaction and chains. Hope I dont have to use them but glad to have them.

Ford F-250 Super Duty

I bought a set for my F250 Super Duty and another set for my Fifth Wheel Trailer. Arrived in good shape and the carry case is awesome, made it very easy for storage when not in use. gmc Yukon

These chains (TC2533) worked perfectly on my 2026 GMC Yukon AT4 with 275/60R20 tires. After several days of driving in fresh snow using 4WD (without chains), the sun came out and the conditions turned icy the following morning. To safely reach the main road, I had to install the chains.

Installation was straightforward and went on with minimal effort. I then drove up an icy side road and approximately three miles on a snow-covered road without any issues. I used tensioners to keep the chains tight and prevent shifting.

Although GMC does not recommend using tire chains on the Yukon with this tire size, I experienced no rubbing or damage. As a tip, I always carry a couple of 8-inch-long pieces of 2x4 wood to drive onto during installation. This makes it easier to position and adjust the chains while installing them.

Purchased for my 2012 Ram 3500 just in case snow got too bad for 4x4. Didn’t end up needing them on this trip but I did practice installing them since I’ve never installed chains before. Super easy. Took less than ten minutes. Happy with the purchase and id recommend them for a noob like me.

The Titan Tire Chains fit the rear axle with adequate clearance. The front wheels only have about 5/8" between the inside cable connection and upper control arm. I would not recommend their use on the steer axle. The wheels are factory wheels for the Denali trim level. I cannot comment on traction nor durability as they have not been required to be used this winter.

2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty

No snow yet but the practice installation went great! So simple my 6 year-old helped make sure I was following the instructions properly. Time will tell if I need them and how they work in the upcoming North Idaho snow plowing season. Fit great on my 275/70R18 tires. I appreciate the carrying case they came with, also!

After a season of snow plowing: I was grateful for the ease of installation. However, I found that I needed chains for all 4 wheels. I bought a different, more aggressive style at a local tire place and prefer those. The pros of the Titans are the carrying case, included clear instructions, and intuitive installation. The cons are that they feel a lot weaker…I anticipate has not happened yet that the bungee or lightweight tension chains will be the first to fail. After some practice I can install the other cam-lock style chains just as easily and when I need to buy another set of chains it will be those…not these Titans.

2001 Ford Expedition

These chains are Awesome in every way! I live at 7500' on a mesa in W.new mexico, winter is get to town in the morning early while the roads are still frozen. . . otherwise its mud\snow\rock\ice, in a steady uphill climb. . . These chains go on so fast, (like 5min for a set). I use them on a 2001 AWD\4WD Expedition... FRONT end only and while I get some rear end sliding, the fronts just never break loose at all

2014 Toyota Tundra

I got the chains and tired them on tonight and they seem big. With the tension all the way tight there was still slop in the chain system. It definitely seems like they could tighten more. The instructions show a few inches of available tension when the chains are on plus I had to loop the bungee cord around another section of chain to get any tightness. It just does not seem like the proper fit and may cause issue when in use. Is there a smaller size or another tire chain that would better fit a 275/65R18 tire???

It does not look like the chains are too large for the tire. I recommend Rubber Tire Chain Adjusters par t# TCMA2 to tighten up the fit.

Easy on, perfect fit!! I like how they store in their own bag. The biggest issue with chains is putting them on in cold, nasty weather trying to put them on when everything is wet and frozen. These chains help that task a whole lot easier, they have a simple system to put them on and once on they are very secure so they don’t tear up fender wells. I also like how these chain are much more quiet and because how they are close to the tire they dont transfer vibrations back to the steering wheel. I like that I received them packaged securly and earlier than expected.

After reviewing tech info and reviews I purchased Titan Alloy Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link part TC2533 for the 2018 Ram 2500. These are regular duty and a good fit. These chains offer a lot more clearance for the P-Brake cable. They are a cleaver design, have great carrying case and are fairly quick to install. I have not purchased winter tires for this vehicle so the Ram need chains to pull a travel trailer up and down our snow-covered road.

Dodge Ram Pickup

Titan chains are some of the best chains I’ve used. The diamond chains are really easy to install and the diamond pattern makes the ride a little smoother compared to ladder style chains. I had a pair for my Ram 1500 for about a year and decided to get another pair for my wife’s Grand Cherokee, but Etrailer doesn’t list a pair of the diamond chains confirmed to fit the 265/60/R18 tire. I called Titan chain and they gave me the model number and the TC2526 fits perfectly. Not sure why Etrailer says it doesn’t.

2020 Ford Edge

Great service, tracking, and follow up. Chains showed up a day early too. I ordered the Diamond chains for 265/70R17 KO'2 tires. Fit good, easy to install. Note in image that I put my tires up on blocks to install. This works quite nicely, especially with the edge lugs on the tires to get things lined up and properly fit. Much easier, cleaner, and warmer to fit chains in the garage or driveway before crawling around on ice, snow, and slush with cold hands etc...

First of all, thanks for your follow up request. Our trip through the Rockies was cut short and we didn’t use them so we can’t yet rate them in actual use. I can attest that their design for installation is great. Easiest snow chain installation I’ve ever experienced. [you do test them before actually stuck in the snow don’t you?]
That said, I can rate my experience dealing with Etrailer as most satisfying. Kudos to them for hiring excellent staff.

You will want the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2323 since your 2021 Kia Telluride has the 245/50R20 wheels and tires. The # TC2517 that you are looking at is for the smaller 245/60R18 wheels and tires. Do note that these chains do not offer wheel protection and your wheels may become damaged from the chains. Comparing Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains TC2317 and TC2517 for 215/85R16 Tires
The only difference between the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2317 and part # TC2517 which are both fits for 215/85R16 tires is that the 2317 are class s compatible and the 2517 are not. The non-class s compatible tire chains have thicker links so they will offer more grip but you also need to take into consideration vehicle clearance. I recommend checking the owner's manual of the vehicle under the tire chain section to see if class s required as most vehicles today do.

Can Tire Chains Be Used on All 4 Wheels of 2019 Toyota Highlander
Your 2019 Highlander was equipped with either 245/55-19 or 245/60-18 tires. If you have the 245/60-18 tire size, the Titan # TC2517 would fit, but you'll want to use Class S chains like # TC2317 to provide the proper clearance between the inside of the tire and suspension/steering/braking components. If you have the 245/55-19 size, you'd use # TC2324 which is also class S compatible for maximum clearance. The owner's manual recommends using chains on the front wheels only.

Recommended Tire Chains For 2016 Ram 3500 And Trailer
Based on the size tires you have on your Ram, the tire chains I recommend are part # TC2221SCAM. Square link chains grip better and outperform other style chains. The chains you asked about, part # TC2539 are not a fit for the size tire you have on your Ram. The tire chains I recommend for the tires you have on your trailer are part # TC2517. These are square link steel alloy chains.
