Utility Trailer D-Ring Tie Down
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

This sturdy steel D-ring creates a stable tie-down point in your trailer or truck bed. Recessed design lets you roll cargo over the D-ring without interference. WLL is 2,000 lbs.Good, solid piece. 2K WLL and 6K break strength are higher than most other comparable swivel D-rings and flush mount D-rings. I have a steel deck trailer and one of my flush mount D-rings failed so I replaced all 4 with these. Being as mine is steel deck, welding is a solid install. I trimmed the edge flange for a tidy fitment for surface mount but later decided to just mount from below and weld in from the top. It came out very nice, I suggest similar mounting for those with steel trailers. of course, I had to grind off the zinc from the weld zone and painted with rustoleum both on top and from below.
Brophy swiveling D ring tie downs are pretty awesome. Super heavy duty, really like the Swivel design. By having the freedom of movment the ancor is never in a bind, at any angle and tension is pulled evenly from any direstion. The matching backing plates are a must as far as I'm concerned. Installation was easy. All holes on the backing plates ligned up well. No issues. I will give it up to etrailer.com also for the fast shipping. It means alot when you have a project going on. Over all satisfied with my purchase.
Good pricing, fast shipping, great customer service. You can feel the quality of the product unlike other suppliers. Mounted these in our enclosed trailer with ease. The instructional video takes you step by step. Waited to write the review until after hauling a couple of vehicles, the swivel feature is VERY convenient.
Called customer service because I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted. Talked to Molly and she pointed me in the exact direction I wanted to go. She even helped me save some money by not buying the kit with the hardware because I wanted to use stainless steel carriage bolts for a flush finish on top. Only modification I had to make was drill the holes out bigger on tie down to except the square shank on the carriage bolt.
I do like these swiveling d-rings and the metal backings. They are going to make it so nice to tie stuff down. There are one in each corner of my trailer.

These Dring were perfect for up fitting our 550 flat bed parts truck. We threw these on the inside of the side gates for easier tie downs without bending the gates. These have not had any issues from daily wer and tear hauling anything from 10lbs to 2000lbs.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I installed 4 of these in my enclosed cargo trailer to make it a car hauler for my 1956 Jeep CJ5. They were easy to install and they'll work great.

Theyre working exactly as I had hoped. Ive towed my trailer with the Jeep on it about 1500 miles to various events without one problem.
Tie downs work good for securing my rig and look good after a year of use on my trailer. They do need a drain hole drilled in the bottom to let rain water escape and not accumulate.
Product is fine not a single thing wrong with it. That said it was the manner in which the order was shipped and the packaging. Heavy metal items with sharp corners were placed unwrapped or retained in a box with soft and polished plastic finish, absurd!
I got lucky, the plastic cover on the Weathertech items protected them from damage. Longer shipping they would have not made it.
Great customer service and super fast delivery. Product is great too! Will definitely make our trailer more versatile.

The tie downs have worked great. I had to drill some drain holes in them but other than that they are definitely more versatile than other tie downs.
Had to buy a 4 3/8 hole saw to install. Very happy with the results. Need to make sure your hold down strap hooks are big enough for the D-ring.
I needed 8 tie downs for a new trailer in addition to the four that came with it. etrailer had exactly what I needed. On line ordering was simple and quick. Shipment arrived quicker than I thought, two days later. Great product and service!
Overall I really like these things and they have worked well. My only complaint is that on my utility trailer they are exposed and there is no way for water to drain out of them. I'm thinking about drilling a hole(s) to avoid this problem. No signs of rust though

1yr update: these still are working fine with one flaw. There is no drain hole. the cups easily fill with water of course that should have been obvious from the start. Its hot here in Texas and I assumed the water would evaporate quickly with no changes but it doesnt. I first drilled a 18 hole near the bottom rounded corner of the cup to drain the water, which works if it wasnt for the debris. They also easily collect various plant debris unless you store yours in a garage which is unlikely for this type of trailer. so the 18 hole clogs. next I went to a 316 hole. It still has the propensity to clog. plant debris + standing water = rust. Im unsure of how big of a hole you can go before you begin to compromise the strengthrating of the cup & tie down assembly. These should have been designed with the appropriate sized hole already cut, or at least a guideline of how big and where I could drill my own holes. Unless you need the flush mount swivel kind, the surface mount D-Ring type would eliminate this long term failure mechanism cup rusting out. No, the plating wont protect it forever and I painted any exposed metal to combat any issues.
