When the road is covered in snow or ice, these grooved square links give your tires serious traction. The ladders dig in better than standard square links, keeping you moving forward through packed snow, icy slopes, or slushy climbs. The ladder pattern adds consistent grip as you roll, helping your tires stay planted where traction matters most.
No more wrestling with loose chains in the cold. The assisted cams on these chains let you twist them tight around the tire with the included tool. Just a few turns and the chain pulls snug for a solid fit. For even more security, you can add rubber adjusters (sold separately) to keep everything centered as you drive.

Each link is made to work on both sides, so when one side shows wear you can flip the chain and keep going. That simple reversible setup means you get more runs out of the same set—ideal for anyone who drives in snow year after year.
Built from nickel manganese alloy steel, these chains are made to handle harsh conditions without rusting or breaking down. The case-hardening process gives every link a tough outer shell to resist wear and corrosion, while the inner steel stays strong and flexible. That combination means dependable performance even after repeated use in snow, ice, and road grit.
This pair of chains is sized to fit a wide range of tires from 14" up to 18". With 5.6 mm (0.22") thick links, they’re ready for heavy winter traction without extra bulk. Whether you need them for a backup set or regular use in snowy zones, they’re built to give reliable grip when the conditions turn rough.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the pewag All Square 5.6 millimeter Snow Tire Chains. These are gonna be a ladder pattern style chain, so they're gonna be a little more rough of a ride than the diagonal or diamond pattern chains, but that's not a huge deal, these aren't gonna be the roughest ride of all of them though, there are some all square snow tire chains that are a little bit bigger, these are 5.6 millimeters linked thick, so these are relatively larger, but not as big as they can go, so they're gonna get you a decent amount of traction, and these are gonna be less traction than some of the V-bar style chains. These do have a little bit stronger steel material, it's manganese nickel alloy, some of them are low carbon steel, so these are definitely winning when it comes to how hard and how strong they are, so they should last a long time. And one thing I like about it is just the cam tensioners, they really do help get a really nice fit on the chain, so that is something to kinda think about, just because as treads start to kinda go down, sometimes the diameter of your tire changes ever so slightly, so with the cam tensioners, you can be confident that they're as tight as they can be, so they're not gonna fall off or anything and damage the vehicle. These won't damage your wheels, so notice how we have a very large amount of gap between the chain and our rims, so even if we we're in very, very thick, heavy snow where it's pushing in on the side walls, it's not gonna go and scratch our wheels, that's something I look at, just because these are nice and I wanna keep them nice, so you don't have to worry about that with these. If you wanna put these on just the back wheels of whatever vehicle you may have, you can do that, it does come in a pack of two, but if you do wanna put it on the front wheel as well, you're gonna have to grab two of these.
So they have a pretty big bag and it's not a canvas bag, so it is not gonna rip near as easily, so that's a good thing. There's plenty of room in the bag too to get all the chains in there, so you don't have to worry about just kinda having to stuff stuff in. A lot of times, when you get products, sometimes, they don't get packaged up as nice and neatly as they did before, but with these, they have plenty of room in this bag. But once it's all in there, it's about this size, it'll fit underneath your backseat or in your toolbox, whatever you have going on on your vehicle. But when it comes to these, I think they're gonna be a pretty good option for you.
And that's pretty much it for a look at the pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains with cam tensioners..
