This handle includes a power and manual lock to protect your tailgate and cargo. The power lock wires into the existing power door locks so when you lock your truck, you lock your tailgate. A manual lock lets you unlock the tailgate with a key.

So it works great and the video is awesome, but if you have an access cab you will need to find the wires up in the far front next to the emergency brake. Just pull up all those plastic panels and you will find the correct wires there. Other than all that it’s pretty good. I gave it a 3 star because when it arrived one of the little clips for hooking the two rods Into were broken so I had to pull off the one from my original and us that. Also there wasn’t any help on finding the correct wires on an access cab I had to locate the wires coming from inside the door then follow them to where I could connect them to the new wiring. All In all it turned out okay, just needed to spend a little more time investigating where to find the correct wires.
could not be happier with the lock....put it in 3 months ago ,took about 1 hour to install...instructions were easy to understand..my stock key works great in the new lock ...ty
