For a powered tailgate lock on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma, I recommend the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8550. This system is confirmed to fit your truck and will work with your factory power lock system, so it will lock and unlock using remote keyless entry. A nice thing about this system is that it also features a manual lock and key in case your truck battery were to ever fail.
For just a powered system only, you can use the Pop & Lock # PAL8521.
The tailgate lock will wire right into your power lock system using quick splice connectors. No drilling or welding is necessary for installation.
