When you’re hauling serious weight down the highway, this Westlake ST235/85R16 radial tire and wheel combo is made to take it. The tire carries a 14-ply rating with a 4,410-lb maximum load at 110 psi and a speed rating of L (75 mph). The matching 16"?× 6" aluminum wheel is rated at 4,080 lbs, meeting DOT, FMVSS, and SAE J1204 standards. It’s built for highway use with consistently strong performance under heavy loads.
Extended towing in hot conditions can ruin lesser tires, but this one runs cool and stays tough. The Westlake radial construction uses double steel belts, double polyester plies, and nylon tread-firming belt overlays that hold tread shape and prevent separation. Less rolling resistance and heat buildup translate to longer tread life and stable handling mile after mile.

Moisture and road grime won’t steal this wheel’s shine. The Liger Series aluminum design is rustproof and lightweight, finished in glossy black with an automotive-grade clear coat to protect against scuffs and scratches. Steel inserts in the lug nut wells prevent wear so the wheel stays tight and secure over time.

Flat on the road? This setup includes 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance covering 24/7 service anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. The tire also carries a unique 1-Year No Excuses Guarantee—if it’s damaged within the first year from anything not covered by warranty, it’ll be replaced at no charge with compensation for mounting labor. That’s real assurance built right in.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Westlake ST235/85R16 Load Range G Radial Trailer Tire with this 16-inch liger aluminum wheel with an eight on six-and-a-half inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is going to be great for your RVs, campers, and trailers. And this special trailer tire, or ST tire, has sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. This is created specifically for trailers and not intended for use on other vehicles. Now, this radial tire is designed for trailers that are towed on the highway and it is constructed with double steel belts and double polyester plies for a long life.
The nylon tread-firming belt overlays help prevent tread separation and the tread wear indicator is gonna make it easy to see the tread depth. Now, as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together and as we have stamped here on our tire, this is an ST235/85R16, and the section width is 9.3 inches and the outer diameter is 31.7 inches. This is a Load Range G tire, meaning it has a 14 ply rating and the maximum load is 4,410 pounds at 110 PSI, and this has a speed rating of L, indicating a maximum speed of 75 miles per hour. Now this aluminum wheel is durable, it's lightweight, it's rust proof, it features this attractive liger series eight spoke design in glossy black and an automotive grade clear coat finish on the front that's gonna protect the wheel from scuffs and scratches. The lug nut wells have steel inserts in there, that's gonna help to keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer hub, preventing the holes from wearing down and eliminating the need for constant re-tightening of the lug nuts.
The diameter of our wheel, looking at the diameter first, measuring bead seat to bead seat is 16 inches and then the width of our wheel, again, measuring bead seat to bead seat, is six inches. And the bolt pattern on this wheel is eight on six-and-a-half inches. And in case you don't know, the first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes and the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which the bolt holes sit. So to determine the bolt circle diameter on wheels with an even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the bolt hole directly across from it. The capacity of this wheel is 4,080 pounds.
The wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20, or 9/16ths of an inch by 18. The center cap is sold separately, but if you decide to pick one up, you just wanna make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.9 inches. Now, this tire and wheel assembly does meet the Department of Transportation specifications. This tire meets the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard specifications, and the wheel meets the SAE J1204 standards. One final note, this tire and wheel assembly does come with complimentary roadside assistance for two years, so if your RV or trailer has a flat tire, simply call their helpline and a technician will come and change the flat for you.
You can call that number 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere here in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our quick look today, I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I sold my Tracker and upgraded to Vexus, but I can say those wheels and tires were great. I travel to several fishing locations and also had lots of compliments on them also

A year into the purchase of this item, I fortunately have not had to use it. I can say, there have been no issues with it holding its air pressure. So it remains a great purchase.
