This tire has a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today, we're looking at this nice Triangle ST235/80R16 Heavy-Duty Radial Tire with a nice 16 by six inch black aluminum wheel with and eight on 6 1/2 inch lug pattern and a Load Range G. So folks, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, campers, those kind of things. It does sport a nice AM03 black aluminum wheel. It's super durable, lightweight, and rustproof. Has a beautiful open spoke design.
The design's pretty unique compared to most of the wheels you see out there. It's got a nice aesthetically looking finish to it I think. And it does have a nice clear coat finish over the powder coat finish that they have already. And that's on the front and the back, which you don't always see on the backside of wheels. A lot of times, they only cover the outside.
So that's a nice feature that they went ahead and did the whole thing. Now, something else to speak about is the lug inserts on the wheel itself. So those steel inserts inside where the lug net goes is, one, gonna help keep the wheel securely in place on the trailer hub, but it's also gonna prevent those holes from wearing down. Now, one thing to notice, you can use either a 1/2 inch by 20 thread count lug nut, or you can use a 9/16 by 18 count thread lug nut or wheel bolt. The pilot diameter here in the center is a 4.9 inch diameter.
There is no offset on this wheel. Now, the Triangle tire here is a heavy-duty special trailer radial tire, so it is designed only for trailers and is not intended for use on other vehicles. It's made of all-steel belts inside. That's gonna enhance the durability and extend the tread life. And the tread here is a computer-generated tread design to give premium traction in wet and dry conditions.
And it's also made with a nice rubber compound material that's superior to some other brands out there. The whole assembly here meets all DOT specifications. Once again, the wheel is a 16 inch diameter by six inch wide. That bolt pattern again is an eight lug on 6 1/2. And the way you determine on an even wheel like we have here today is, you take one lug and you measure center to center straight across, and you'll get that 6 1/2 inches. Now, once again, this tire capacity is a Load Range G, it's a 14-ply tire, and its max speed is 75 miles per hour with a speed rating of L. Now, if you we inchesre gonna measure the overall diameter on the outside to outside, I was getting 30 7/8 inches outer diameter. So in case you're worried about this fitting on your trailer and those spaces and specs you need to that measurement. The wheel capacity's rate at 4,400 pounds while the max load rating on the tire itself is 4,080 pounds at 110 psi. So folks, this is just a nice tire and wheel combo by Triangle. We've had these for a while, they work great on trailers, a great option for you. We've got multiple designs on the wheels and different finishes. There's some silvers and blacks like you see here today. And kinda as you see here today, there's a combo of that aluminum kinda silver color with the black. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today at this Triangle ST235/80R16 Heavy-Duty Special Trailer Tire. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
